cooldad
what kind of guitars do you have? I am currently using a Suzuki SSG3 Steel String with D'Addario Strings and A Peavey Raptor with a KORG AX10G effects. Quote Link to comment
milhouse83
yupp! powertabs are the best! download Power Tab Editor HERE. and get your powertabs at www.powertabs.net. What i like about that site is that they have a rigid rating system for the tabs that are submitted. So the tabs there are accurate more or less. me, i've a BC rich warlock, a digitech rp80 and a zoom gfx707 coupled together. i plugin with a pair of headphones since i dont play with a band anymore. im setting aside some cash right now for a sweet, sweet alpine white '67 gibson flying v http://www.gibson.com/products/gibson/Designer/images/flyingv-guitar.jpg Quote Link to comment
knives_out
mga guitar peeps, try nyo tong site na to. makakadownload kayo dito ng "backing tracks" - mp3's of your favorite rock songs minus the guitar track. ayos ba? let's rock! http://www.guitarbt.com/index.php?act=Downloads Quote Link to comment
bods1000
wow!a guitar thread! I'm not a guitar player but I've always been interested in guitar music and guitar players of all hues and stripes - rock, jazz and blues.... Most of my music collection are by guitarists - from the oldies (Clapton ,Hendrix, Beck) to the newer ones (Malmsteen), from jazz (Wes Montgomery, Coryell, Pat Metheny, Al Dimeola, McLaughlin) also blues (Lightnin' Hopkins, Buddy Guy, Freddie King, Muddy Waters, Robert Cray).... also been reading guitar tabs pero wala na talagang pag-asa mga daliri ko cheers!! Dr.Love
I've been a guitar player for 12 years already but I'm not really that dedicated to the instrument due to studies & work so my chops are still not that good. I still consider myself an intermediate player. Quote Link to comment

Been out of the live bands scene since december, 2002, due to work schedule... Anyway, have played with several guitars already. Here's the sequence: first: Fender Strat ( Japan ) with Floyd Rose II tremolo BOSS ME5 multi-effects Last: Godin Radiator with Fender Bullet strings, Zoom GFX 707 Started out playing with a metal band way back '89 and retired from the scene almost 3 years ago. Jessss, I missed the band life... Quote Link to comment

Podweed
This is great!! What a nice way to end my day learning there is now a thread for guitarists in MTC. I just bought a new guitar this afternoon. A Fender Spanish and I got it for a steal. I was drooling over a Washburn that cost $1,000. Financing was available, but that was still too much for now. Sa Christmas na lang. I see you all play electric. Let me be different yet not out-of-place. I haven't played in a while. I used to take summer lessons at the U.P. College of Music (upon the insistence of my dad, who's an excellent player himself), and it'll take a while to be able to pluck properly again (the classical way), not to mention grow my nails. Jeez. Hehe. That's the way to do it. My cousin plays incredibly well. He was sent on a scholarship to Madrid just to hone his skill. Shoot. Will I ever get to his level? Gawd, I hope so. Let's jam!! Have a great day, everyone. Quote Link to comment
milhouse83
i wish i have a dimebag darrell series monster guitar...<{POST_SNAPBACK}> ive been crushing for one of those too! especially the dimeslime and the diamond plated stealth model. washburn made a bunch of tribute guitars ever since dime's death. some of them are pretty affordable at the $300-400 range too. But those only come with stop tail pieces though. Quote Link to comment
milhouse83
Godin Radiator with Fender Bullet strings, Zoom GFX 707<{POST_SNAPBACK}> great to see another gfx707 player! ive been using that for over 5 years now. i think the unit is not that great by itself, which is why i couple mine with a digitech rp80. like the zoom can recreate that tight metallica scooped distortion with no trouble, but cant exactly dial in a warm tone that slash uses, so ive got the digitech for that. both units have weak wahs though.. i guess nothing can still replace a crybaby. but the digitech takes the cake for having a whammy, yaya, and a better sounding chorus effect.
