Given the chance, don't miss Xian (ancient former capital of China) where you can visit the 2,000 year old Terracota Warriors which were unearthed a couple of years ago.

 

Another place worth visiting in China is Guilin. Take a cruise along the Li River where magnificent peaks line both sides of the river. For me, you can take in one of the most beautiful and magnificent views in the world by taking the Li River cruise.

Those visiting Xiamen in China's Fujian province can visit the island of Gulangyu. Transportation is via electric trams. No motor vehicles on the island. The island itself is very quaint. Lots of small shops where you can buy souvenirs. Very nice sea views as well. There's even a Catholic Church where we attended Sunday services.

 

This island is a must see for those visiting Xiamen.

So far, I've visited Beijing, Shanghai, Xian, Guilin, Xiamen, Shenzhen, and Sanya. And Hong Kong of course. Of all these cities, I think I was impressed most by Shanghai. Don't really care much about the people whom I find quite aggressive.

 

One gets the feeling about China's economic power when one visits Shanghai. It's a very modern city with high rise buildings but there's a place called the Bund which reminds one of an old European city.

 

Beijing is the largest of all the Chinese cities I think. I believe it's even larger than the whole Metro Manila combined. That's the feeling I got because the city is just sprawling.

 

Guilin is a very beautiful place to visit. The river cruise amid tall cliffs is magnificent.

 

Xian boasts the Teracotta Warriors which were recently unearthed by a Chinese farmer. Xian was China's ancient capital.

For those who visit Hong Kong regularly but haven't yet been to China, I would recommend crossing the border into Shenzhen. It's only an hour away by car/bus. Of all the attractions there, the one I liked most was Windows of the World. It features various tourist destinations of the world. You can see the Eiffel Tower, Washington DC, New York City, Egyptian Pyramids, Rome, London, etc. in miniature.

I was advised to avoid tourist trap eateries because mga mandurugas daw. Baka yuck mga pinaglulutuan o nilalagay sa luto.

 

I don't really have any plans to ever visit that country, but its good to be warned.

Bad trip nga block ang facebook dito at mga porn sites wala din pati youtube hahaha so boring after mo makita ang great wall at forbidden city. Gusto ko na nga umuwi eh miss ko na ang Spa natin dyan! Marami din dito mga fake na RMB "Peso sa atin" pero kaya double ingat ako sa bar o taxi, then meron daw dito front eh parlor kunwari pagpasok mo if you ask "pay for sex" may door na papasukan pero delikado hehehe. Then may nabasa rin ako ingat daw sa mga pretty students kunwari makikipagkilala then mag invite na mag coffee after that ikaw pagbabayrin kunwari pa nga papaturo ng English.

 

Mas maganda pa sa Hong Kong at Singapore "Red Light District" at mahal din goods dito hindi ideal na dito ka magshopping.

You're welcome bro. Since prostitution is illegal in China it might be very risky trying to circumvent Chinese laws. For all you know that parlor you mentioned might be under surveillance by police and you might get caught up in a raid. Bro you better do your "thing" in home territory. At least you know what you're up against over here.

After all the bullying China has been using against the Philippines, I wouldn't want to go to China and spend my dollars there. I'd rather spend it somewhere else. I don't intend to visit China any soon after their aggressive attempt to take over the West Philippine Sea and the China Sea itself.

dito ako sa Best Western Pudong Sunshine Hotel Shanghai..any recommendation for a place to visit? this is about 30 min ride via shuttle bus from Pudong Shanghai China airport.what can i say..hmmm no traffic street is wide well lighted..wala ako makita side walk vendor..wala rin mga tambay at night air is clean no smog..i think 5f of hotel is a brothel spa 355rmb.staff limited english but understandable friendly naman..Venus cafe sa 1f they serve buffet ala carte think Yakimik but bigger unli tsingtao beer hehe..waitress some are pretty haha been here for only 12hr so sad they need to pick us up at 11pm..di ko tuloy na check night life ng area,they have a bar gym but i think no swimming pool..and oh sa airport while on my way sa counter ng plane ko.one chinese girl cute fv 7/10 lumapit hinawakan ako sa braso at dikit yung suso niya sabi niya im hungry i like to eat hehe anyway pudong is an industrial complex medyo lau sa city center..ill defnitely be back next year.im beginning to love shanghai
