temurlenk
Books. Your imagination has better cinematic effects than any movie ever created. Quote Link to comment
slugg
I like watching a series in the screen rather than reading it. I appreciate the cinematography and acting performance. Aside from that, I am lazy to read pages of heavy text. Quote Link to comment
schterzen
Normally, I read the book before watching the movie. For some reason, when I've read the book, the movie doesn't seem to be as good as the book I read. There are also times that I've watched the movie, which prompted me to read the books. But there is a rare exception that I find the movie better than the book. Quote Link to comment
mamang tubero
books and movies (and compare later if the movie adaptation has been faithful or not to the letter or the original content of the book) Quote Link to comment
acesx31
movies. no time for books Quote Link to comment
Myotonia
Both have their pros and cons and there's something unique to appreciate in both mediums. Generally books over movies for me, though. Quote Link to comment
happybloke
I prefer movies because im too lazy to read hahahaUnless I get super interested in a topic or title, that's when I try to read also the books or other references. Quote Link to comment
GoyongDP
If I want to know the whole story or at least want it to be canonical, then the book. Quote Link to comment
cumlaude
Movies... i get sleepy trying to read and entire novel. Sight and sound keeps me awake.after the movie I'd read it up para lang hindi ko na miss yung mini details na hindi napakita sa movie... Quote Link to comment
ramonalito
Prefer movies to books, but there are just some books that should never be made into movies, nawawala ung essence nila. Quote Link to comment
spamlover
Books, you enjoy the creation of the reality as an active participant in the imaginative process. That's why each individual's experience of a book is different. That's also why it's much "harder". Film, for the most part, it's fed to you. The challenge is to identify motifs and themes, and details across time and motion. Quote Link to comment
westhoratio
Depende. If the book is lengthy, I'll wait for the movie. Pero kung kaya naman basahin, I'll read the book then watch the movie. Quote Link to comment
Misteryotao
Both. Both mediums have their own enjoyment. Quote Link to comment
