chink masta
if theres a book. read the book and don't even bother seeing the movies. it will just frustrate you. always does. Quote Link to comment
bogliboi_blue
Both have their merits...although the book is usually more satisfying. Then again there are books I consider crap reads so I'm content with just seeing them on the screen, if I ever do (I'm not much of a movie buff). paulnorth
I prefer to do both if possible. When I read a book, I will for sure watch it on a movie and see what differs between the two Quote Link to comment
moichi
book first. they're very satisfying. movies... only when there's no book... when there is a book, i watch the movie but usually there is a lot to be desired in the movie... usually bitin... Quote Link to comment
Borgie
i like both... they both have their own plus factors... the book leaves your imagination open so it tends to be more intense and satisfying... the movie gives more entertainment value, you just sit back, relax, eat your popcorn and let things happen and unfold... one is brainfood... the other is more like eye candy... Frida
basta ako, i have never found a very good movie adaptation. laging mas maganda talaga ang book. Â --------------------Jericho Rosales and his Jeans band suck! Quote Link to comment
paulnorth
mas maganda book muna, para maintindihang mabut ung story. Then saka na ung movies, para mavisualize mo yung characters at scenes na nbasa sa book. mas ok dba? Quote Link to comment
vanillasky
YEPPP.. DASH RAYT!!! just like in the case of davinci code... i don't think the people understood the movie pera na lang dun sa nakabasa nung libro... pag sa movie kasi aside from the dialoguesnaeenhance lanmg ngvisuals eh.. ang nangyari puro dakdakan sa movie... sa kaso ng harry potter series.. mas gusto ko yung book kaysa sa movie... sa lord of the rings naman mas ok sa akin yung movie kesa sa mismong book.. but its just because the english used in the novel was old and grabe talaga pagkakagawa ni peter jackson... :thumbsupsmiley: :thumbsupsmiley: Quote Link to comment
john2004
movie muna pagkatapos books naman then movie uli. Quote Link to comment
Palakol
kung gusto ko ng malalim, magbabasa ako ng libro.kung gusto ko ng aksiyon, manonood ako ng pelikula. Quote Link to comment
Hekate
*med well with hollywood booming and distributing films like pancakes to every country known to man...a question pops out...do you guys prefer to read a book or just wait for it on screen? Reading is by far more enjoyable. There are no limits to you what you can think of based on what you've read. Though this is not to say I don't watch the movie. I find it interesting because you get to see someone else's point of view on how a book is interpreted. Quote Link to comment
DonImus
For Harry Potter it's the book. For LOTR i go for the movie. Peter Jackson ang galing mo hayup ka!!! Quote Link to comment
abujjam
Movies. Â I have been trying to develop the habit of reading but it's either I get bored, impatient or fall asleep. I will keep on trying. Quote Link to comment
Cmayfrayna
both..... but i like reading it first before watching it on the movies..... :thumbsupsmiley:   except for the bourne series...didnt read it on the books but i enjoyed the movies Quote Link to comment
Headroom
I prefer reading - a good example and one that gets mentioned often in this thread is the Lord of the Rings. While I genuinely loved the movies there were parts of it that wouldn't have made sense to me unless I had read the books (which I have done several times). Similar story with the Da Vinci Code. Books can provide narrative on characters, places and situations that sometimes can be hard to glean from a movie or by just seeing it on the screen. Aside from that I find reading relaxing.
