Ishtar
I used to have braces, but since i lost my retainers 3 yrs ago i never went back to my dentist & now i think i'm having a relapse. If the relapse is mild lang, can i just get retainers done? or do i need full braces again? Quote Link to comment
maximusmeridius
if i remember correctly, you can just have retainers done ishtar. no need for braces if your teeth are already alighned. Quote Link to comment
Oral Specialist
hello. may itatanong lang ako. i usually brush my teeth again after brushing. bakit pag sa first time ko magbrush, my gums bleed, pero sa second time, wala na yung dugo? di naman virgin yung gums ko e hehehe yun lang po. tnx Wow, I really took my time to answer this post! Anyway, the first time you brush gums that bleed, it's because there's food lodged in the gums and it's the food and bacteria in there that irritates the gums. During brushing the dirt gets dislodged but since the gums are already swollen and engorged with blood, they easily get punctured by the dirt and sometimes the toothbrush. The next time you brush, since the dirt is gone, the gums aren't as swollen as they used to be and aren't as susceptible to irritation and trauma. They can withstand the brushing and have healed since there is no more irritation. Quote Link to comment
Oral Specialist
doc tanong ko lang ha.....i recommended u ksi sa isang opismate ko but when she heard how much she said that it is too expensive daw kc meron na rin daw nag-alok sa kanya for 20k + lang.....ano ba sa tingin nyo pagkakaiba nung sa clinic nyo kumpara sa other na cheaper ang fee..... Well, prices usually depend on the location, the difficulty of the case, or the experience level of the dentist. Makati prices are usually higher than say, Tondo but it doesn't necessarily mean that the quality is less. In my case for example, the orthodontist is a former board examiner and haas been practicing for almost 30 years. Orthodontic treatment, in fact, usually comes out as a break even deal when you calculate the value of the materials and labor as compared to the prices. Quote Link to comment
Oral Specialist
hi doc! :wizard: O nawawala ka ata! San ka na bro? Quote Link to comment
Oral Specialist
i think i need to have my wisdom teeth extracted. can u refer me to a dentist that's good and affordable? thanks. Wisdom tooth extraction is usually a more involved procedure than the extraction of other teeth especially when it's impacted. This is because of the location of the tooth and the additional materials and precautions used to gain access to the tooth. The materials needed are greater and there are more considerations involved in the procedure. Please consider these before you decide to have the procedure done for a lesser price than usual. a_ngel
elowe doc, Ask ko concerning my son, He's 7 and his baby teeth is starting to fall out. My son has really bad teeth as in Cavity infected, spoiled kasi ni mama, but not to the point the bungi na sya, me mga black stuff sa side ng teeth nya. My question is, would it be wise for me to have all his bad teeth pulled out na lang para puro bago na teeth nya. o hayaan ko na lang. and ya, another one is I had one of my molars pulled out Im thinking of having it implanted, can i still have root canal or should I just use permanent dentures?
