Could someone help me out here, please?

You see, everytime I brush my teeth, I see blood mized with my saliva,

which has been happening everyday for about 3 weeks now.

I regularly brush my teeth (3x per day), then I gargle with Hydrogen Peroxide equally diluted with water.

I floss once a day.

I'm quite afraid why is this happening.

Extra info: I'm a chain smoker but I don't know if this is the cause.

try to lessen your number of stick per day ( as you have noted, i said lessen) then

change your toothbrush, get one with softer bristle or might as well use a battery operated one like oral b , try not to brush to hard,

stop using Hydrogen peroxide may affect your teeth,

try using Betadine Mouth Wash 2 x day...

if no improvement consult your favorite dentist and ent specialist ..

What are laminates and how much would they cost?

laminates are all ceramic restorations, they are similar to full coverage crowns but the difference is they only cover mostly the front (anterior) aspects of your teeth.. indications may varry, some of my patients wants veneering done to have a bleeaching effect and these venners can be lighter in shade so the effect on you is "instant" bleach and its permanent for as long as they dont break. price ranges from 8k-25k per tooth.. :thumbsupsmiley:

Hi Docs,

About sa Dental Bridge, hindi po ba masira ang ngipin na ginagawang parang support sa bridge?

it depends if the condition of the abutment (support) is still ok ie. good bone support as seen on dental x-ray.. no periodontal problems (no bone loss or no tooth mobility) and good oral hygiene of the patient.. :thumbsupsmiley:

Hi! I have a missing tooth and I can across a procedure called Dental Implant.

How prevalent is dental implant in the Philippines? Do the local dentist have the expertise to perform such procedure? and what is the estimated cost per tooth.

Thanks for replying.

dental implands is one of the modern trends here on the philippines.. but be extra careful with the dentist.. make sure that the dentist is an implantologist or at least a dental surgeon to avoid failure. there are many factors that can predict the prognosis of the implant treatment, to be sure, ask the dentist if he/she took a post grad on implantology so you could have a peace of mind.. :thumbsupsmiley:

I used to go to a known Dental clinic in malls kaya lang masyadong mahal and usually mga bago din lang yung mga dentists. Can anyone suggest a good dental clinic / dentist in the Quezon City area (near QC Circle) with experienced dentists and complete facilities?

perhaps mali ang brushing technique mo sir or baka may developing caries (sira/butas) ka na sa molar (bagang) mo. i suggest you should seek advice from your dentist. there are many factors, brushing techniques, toothpaste used, or even the condition of the tooth itself. :thumbsupsmiley:

try checking your habbits, if youre a smoker, or if you have other health conditions. you might have periodontal problems. does your gums bleed if you brush? well seek your dentist's advise to be sure amigo. :thumbsupsmiley:

non-smoker, no health problems, no bleeding when brushing.

my question is, is excessive brushing bad for the teeth? does it thins the teeth which causes the pangingilo?

Good morning sir. Brushing pag mali ung method mo can cause some problems sa tooth mo. It is also advised that you brush every after meal. I dont see any problem if you brush often basta you know the right technique. Another thing is yung brush can be hard bristled which is di din maganda pangbrush and some toothpaste ay mayroon ding mas malalaki na abrasive particles which claims to whiten your teeth but basically they just strip off parts of you tooth's outermost layer or the enamel.

well there are many factors, since i havent seen your case i cannot make my diagnosis. however, there may be possibilitiers that:

1. your cementum (root surfaces) are already exposed, this is thinner compared to tour enamel (outer covering of tooth crown) this causes sensitivity to thermal changes when exposed.

2. you may have cervical abbrasions (on the tooth of course ^_^) this may be caused by improper tooth brushing techniques and/or caries.

3. you may have micro cracks on your teeth which causes them to be more sensitive than usual. this may be causes by drinking too much hot or cold drinks.

well my best advise is for you to see your dentist immediately especially if it really bothers you, well for the meantime, you may try changing your toothpaste brand which is formulated for sensitive teeth i.e. sensodyne etc..

stay safe amigo! :thumbsupsmiley:

Gud evening resident dentists!

I have braces and I need sana someone hu does custom-made mouthguards.

Mga how much kaya? Sana lang po yung mura. before kasi sobrang mahal sa iba e.

Thanks!

it depends on how will you use your mouthguard, for sports ba? or for night grinding lang? it also depends on what type of material you want your mouthguard to be made up with (silicone/rubber or acrylic plastic). price ranges from 2k up i guess..

I'm posting this in behalf of a friend of mine.

Does anybody know the cost of Oral Surgery in the Philippines?

He's having six (yes six!) surgicall extracted - 4 wisdom tooth and 2 molars

He is based overseas but he's thinking of doing it on Manila, where he is right now it's going to cost him PhP 110K for the surgeon's and anaesthetic fee alone!

Anybody knows how the price range of oral surgeons for this sort of operation cost?

If anybody can recommend a surgeon, that would be great too :)

Thanks.

range would be from 8,000 to 15,000 depends on the position of the third molar....

if patient would want to have it done in the hospital consider the cost of hospitalization and pf of anesthesiologist...

we need to see the xrays before we could give you the exact cost....

till next time.....
