This is purely something to do with personal preference. I know most Filipino guys who actually want more kids for reasons that it can make their home livelier and probably more colorful.

I might decide based on the influence of my cousins who have only either one or two kids. One of my cousins, being an only child, is obviously very close to both his mom and dad. And someone who has achieved a similar social status. Parents are both lawyers and he, too, became a lawyer.

For most Asians, I fully understand if they prefer to have 4 or more kids. It's mostly based on old traditions and the idea that having more kids means having more friends and having more to rely on.

Nung una talaga, ang gusto ko 2 lng, para walang middle child.

Later on, after some discussions with my then gf at the time, naisip ko parang mas ok din kung mas marami basta kaya ng income. So naging 4, preferably 2 boys and 2 girls.
