Happiest Events Of Your School Days

Recommended Posts

A week into a new semester, our group of ten went out drinking and we walked home plastered. In campus, we saw all these new frat and sorority banners welcoming freshmen. We decided to have fun and tore up as many as we could. We draped one around Oblation so he was togate. A guard saw us and we scattered to the Four winds. Since he recognized one of the torn banners that used to adorn the building he watched, he repeatedly shot at us and we actually heard some bullets zinging past our heads. Boy, did we run for our lives. Fook.

mr. podweed? that was your happiest memory of college? getting shot at? oh my. i'm curious as to what you consider "fun". :D

i have a really crummy happy memory, come to think of it... i was going to say when i made it to the dean's list without even breaking a sweat. hahaha. how lame and boring. :P

but i had a lot of happy memories... most of them because of the people i was with. i met the best kinds of friends and had the most amazing fun during that period of my life. and i'll never stop if i begin reminiscing about our antics here...

although there was that one time in the now defunct mondo at the fort, where we went one saturday night to entertain balikbayan relatives of a friend of ours. we ended up having more fun than our guests... it was the one and only time in my life where i danced on top of a ledge. we were also students on a budget allowance so i didn't have much money to splurge on alcohol. we took a bottle of gin with us in the car and would sneak out every so often to alternately take swigs. talk about cheapo!!!

Well, yes. Gave us all a rush.

Second happiest then: our group playing AD&D (Advanced Dungeons & Dragons) for days on end in our apartment, stopping only to eat (minute burgers from Minute Burger) and sleep sardines-style. Classes? What classes? Schoolmates even asked what we were doing up there, because they've heard people saying we were satanists. Jeez, give us a break. It was just a role-playing game.

There was this Christmas Carolling contest that my org had no choice but to join. We had fun practicing and we never really took the contest seriously. We just had fun (humiliating ourselves) onstage. When it was announced that we won second place, it was very noticable that we cheered louder than the ones who won first place, hehehe. :)

Times when our group had frequent trips to Los banos just to spend the weekend (one of my classmates owned a very nice resort)... Tambay sa Mendiola after evening classes... Drinking before class on awkward schedules...

Well... seeing my other classmates taking the midterms and finals... while I stroll down the corridor or just wait at the "bench"... i usually got exempted from the exams... :P
