Nag seizure ang nanay ko habang nag dialysis. Kasi ito po ang nanyari, nagka problema ang machine so ginawa ng mga nurse ay binukasan nila ang dialyser dahila maraming clot. Mga 3 min nila na repair at tapos nag resume ng dialysis. Wala pang isang miunto i nag seizure na ang nanay ko.

 

Ang tanong ko is....di ba dahil sa clot? kasi 3 min nila na repair at ang dugo sa tubo i clotted na at pinasok pa nila ulit sa nanay ko. Please help me kasi magfifile ako ng kaso.

as i said previously, it can be any of several different infections/STDs.... go to an Internal Med specialist. call your card's customer support and ask them who in the area you are in is affiliated with you card.

i think this should be a question you should raise with your mother's doctors. its easy to jump and point fingers when we were not there and don't have a complete history and labs to go by. please consult them, get your mother's files and also seek other, expert opinions.....

We can't answer your question if nag-clot or hindi. If it really did then the patient probably had a pulmonary embolism that cause a decrease in oxygenation that caused her seizure.

 

It's also good to note that hypotension is the MOST common complication in dialysis. This can cause decrease oxygenation that may lead to seizures.

There are many factors that can contribute hypotension. These include:

 

A rapid reduction in plasma osmolality, which causes extracellular water to move into the cells

Rapid fluid removal in an attempt to attain "dry weight".

Inaccurate determination of true "dry weight"

Diminished cardiac reserve.

Use of acetate rather than bicarbonate as a dialysate buffer. (

Intake of antihypertensive medications that can impair cardiovascular stability.

Use of a lower sodium concentration in the dialysate

Sudden release of adenosine during organ ischemia

Ingestion of a meal immediately before or during dialysis

Arrhythmias or pericardial effusion with tamponade, which are volume-unresponsive causes of hypotension.

Reactions to the dialyzer membrane, which may cause wheezing and dyspnea as well as hypotension.

Increased synthesis of endogenous vasodilators, such as nitric oxide

High magnesium concentrations in the dialysate

Failure to increase plasma vasopressin levels

 

You may not understand several terms here but I would just like to point out that at this point we can't just point at CLOT as the only probable cause of the seizure.

3 minute nag remain ang blood sa tubo.....clotted na yun....after 3 min na nag flush sila syempre clotted ang pinasok nilang dugo.

 

Iatrogenic talaga doc....ikaw ba pag pinasukan ng clotted na dugo aprrox 10cc di mag seizure yun....

 

Sabi nga ng nanay ko parang may bumara bigla sa puso nya at yun nawalan na ng malay dahil nag seizure na....

 

Kaka shock yun....

 

Puro lang differential diagnosis mga doctor, walang ma tukoy na final diganosis...ito na ba ngayun ang mga doctor?

 

So, di ko gusto maulit yun kasi alam naman natin na everytime mag seizure, madaming brain cells ang nag dedeteriorate....research said and prove it.

Were you there when it happened? Did she complain of any chest pain or difficulty breathing when she said "may bumara bigla sa puso niya"?

i do have a friend awhile ago i visited her she's 7 months pregnant, she asked me if bwal b mag do pag preggy i said no (yun ang alm ko e)then she told me nung 3 months ago nung nag do sila ng bf nya (who left her) after the deed parang yung water-bag nya nbutas? kc mdmi water lumabas?masama daw b yun?nde ko msagot kc di ko alm after all im just an rt....then she also noticed n maliit yung tyan nya compared nung una sya mag buntis???

im 37, m, at sa asawa lang nakikipag sex. may masakit sa area nakinakabitan ng scrotum ko. yong ugat mula sa rectal area papunta sa ari ko. tuwing tumatayo si manoy, may lumalabas na dugo sa puwit ko. kapag nakikipagtalik ako ang dugo na lumalabas ay enough to stain my shorts including the bedsheet.

Sex during pregnancy is alright as long as the patient does not have any risk factors for premature labor or placenta previa to name a few. If she felt something wrong 3 months ago then she should've immediately visited an obstetrician. She should have experienced fever and pelvic pain if that were premature rupture of membranes. Obstetricians have a way of determining if the fetus is small for gestational age that means a small tiyan based on perception doesn't necessarily mean immediately growth retardation.

I'm quite sure all your questions can be answered by a routine prenatal check up by an obstetrician. Urge your friend to visit one soon.

Hemmorhoids, anal fissures, rectal polyps, or cancer are the usual culprits of rectal bleeding.

Besides during sex, does it bleed pag nag nunumber 2 ka sa banyo? Is it painful? Visit a gastroenterologist. If there would be any indication he might likely do a rectal exam and if needed do a proctosigmoidoscopy if he cant find any problem from the outside.

 

Hemmorhoids can present with painful or painless bleeding. Anal fissures can present with tearing pain with passage of bowel movements. Polyps can be assymptomatic to intermittent bleeding. Rectal cancer will also present with bleeding but usually have other symptoms such weight loss, anemia, weakness, and abdominal pain.

I understand your concerns about what happened to your mother during her dialysis.

 

However, this is not the appropriate venue to get an expert opinion about this particular matter, especially when names and specialties are not disclosed. If you are intent on filing a legal case regarding this incident, then better get the facts straight, document what needs to be documented and talk with the appropriate specialty.

 

We may give hundreds of hypothesis about what happened but we were not there when the incident happened, we don't know your mother's actual medical history and we don't know the circumstances regarding this particular event.

 

Sometimes the available data tells us the possibilities about a particular clinical case kaya minsan talagang puro differential diagnosis kaming mga duktor. In some instances, we can only have a working impression and go with the most probable diagnosis. Sometimes we need additional laboratory exams and imaging procedures to confirm our diagnosis. In unfortunate instances, only an autopsy would be able to tell us what actually happened.

 

Actually, seizures are not uncommon in patients undergoing dialysis, especially when a patient is in a uremic state. The fact that a patient had to undergo dialysis because of a chronic kidney disease predisposes him to several conditions, kaya marami talagang possibilities. If you really want to prove that a clot caused the seizure, then that may require your mother to undergo additional examinations and procedures on top of her regular dialysis.

I underwent proctosigmoidoscopy last october 2009. sabi ng doc, may anal fissures daw po. kumuha sya ng sample for biopsy at nakita sa result na hindi naman cancerous. no further medication was recommended kaya nandito ako, nagdurugo ang puwit ko.

btw, ano po ba ang pag nunumber 2 sa banyo?

that means you're taking a s@%t.

you're fissures might have recurred. visit a gastroenterologist to have yourself check. Eat lots of fiber to make your stool soft. A hot sitz bath will help if it is anal fissure or hemmorhoids.
