They say Pacquiao will not be able to impose himself on Campbell, who is sturdy and supposedly good at defending himself against heavy hitters. It will therefore not be an exciting fight for Filipino fight fans. And it may be an unwarranted risk for Arum, who would want more than anything else to protect his cash cow. Besides, has Pacquiao ever fought an African-American boxer?

wehehe. obviously pacman is not comfortable at 130lbs. kasi hirap sya at ginutom sya kaya di sya comfortable. unlike sa 135lbs, tamang tama. he's stronger and quicker. i think if JMM follows MP at 135lbs, i dont' think it will be a close fight this time. i think JMM is intent on following MP at lightweight just to vindicate himself. unfortunately, he's not in Arum's radar anymore. the goal is get closer to a Hatton-Pacquiao fight.

There are story lines aplenty. The prefight “B” roll video will be awesome with Edwin Valero throwing roundhouse bombs and various tuk-tuk drivers dropping to the canvas.

 

 

 

The Top Rank publicity machine will have so much grist for the mill it will only occasionally have to lean on the “puncher’s chance” angle.

 

 

 

But, on this July 4th when we hail America’s “bombs bursting in mid-air,.” let’s put the hot dogs aside for a moment and “frankly” state “with relish,” that the Nov. 8 Manny Pacquiao-Valero WBC lightweight title bout could be more of a gross mismatch than was Pacman’s trouncing of David Diaz.

 

 

 

I’ve seen Valero fight in person. He is a charming guy who talks of having $25 million of talent in his loaded fists and who speaks of his skills with a noticeable twinkle in his eye.

 

 

 

He’s a competent world champion. But his opposition has been woeful.

 

 

 

But what really makes Pacquiao-Valero a one-sided fight is that, no matter what his trainer Kenny Adams does, I doubt he can change Valero’s natural swing.

 

 

 

And Valero, while packing dynamite in both fights, swings like a rusty gate.

 

 

 

With Pacman’s defense sharpened to the utmost by his Coach Freddie Roach, it’s hard to fathom how Valero will land any punches let alone a nuclear blast which could render Megamanny senseless.

 

 

 

Besides that, Valero was not gifted with an iron jaw.

 

 

 

Bob Arum says this fight is inevitable. So we can all lay back and let it unfold.

 

 

 

But the result will be the same as David Diaz’s game but overmatched effort.

 

 

 

The bottom line will be Pacquiao by KO.

 

 

 

Valero produces hurricane force winds…and that’s when he misses with shots which he does quite often.

 

 

 

Pacman’s radar is working fine and his feet are more nimble than ever before.

 

 

 

Maybe they can find the old wrestler, Sgt. Slaughter and make his the celebrity referee.

 

 

 

Because Pacquiao-Valero is indeed that, a slaughter.

A judge may see it that way the other may not. Would you go with power or would you go with skills.... There are many things to consider specially in a close match.
