Nu Skin/Pharmanex/Synergy...

 

i was a member not too long ago...started with a YM message from a college friend whom i had not seen for a long time...akala ko naman na-miss lang ako at magyayaya uminom..."career opportunity" daw...only 3 slots were available and i had to act fast before they were filled up...he made it sound like a job interview, asked me to meet him at 15th floor Octagon in Ortigas...

 

i had no idea it was for a networking company...introduced me to a couple of his uplines including this guy named Toby something...Toby seemed to have been briefed about me and kept the flattery going...after the initial chit-chat, he led us into a room for the film viewing...2 hours of explaining what their products were and how we could become members...after the film, he gave us three options A-YES, i want to join; B- i still have questions; or C- NO, i will not be joining...

 

naipit na ko...even my friend was prodding me and i felt that i was backed into a corner...nakakahiya e, and i guess my main reason for joining was because ayoko ipahiya yung barkada ko...12500 and joining price nila and since no choice na ko, i just shelled out the cash from my ATM...over the next few weeks, these people kept prodding me to call up my contacts from a list of 300 people that they made me produce...they taught me the same BS recruiting techniques that my friend used on me...make it sound like a job opportunity and be as vague as you can be...the end result was we had to invite them for the film viewing...

 

they said we could do the recruiting thing during our free time but they kept pressuring me to go the office everyday and make calls...i can honestly say na madami nabwiset at nakulitan sakin because of this...i guess what really bugged me was that they used questionable recruiting techniques...i quit after a few weeks and medyo tinabla ko yung friend ko...end result, hindi na kami magkaibigan ngayon...

 

a few days ago, i got this call from a certain Anne Villegas who supposedly got my resume from Jobscity.com...she needs to fill up an Executive position daw...asked if i was available for a meeting with some of their executives (they call everyone executives, even the newest members)...most of their executives were from DLSU daw like me...asked the nature of the business and she gave me a vague answer...WE ARE A US BASED COMPANY ENGAGED IN MARKETING BLAH BLAH BLAH...asked for the name, Synergy Inc. daw...i thought the name rang a bell so i googled it...lo and behold, NU SKIN din pala...

 

the funny thing about our conversation is that humirit pa sya ng, "WE CAN'T PROMISE ANYTHING THAT YOU WILL BE PART OF OUR TEAM"...nung na-realize ko na networking pala, gusto ko sabihin..."IHA, member nyo na ko matagal na, at nakakasira yang kompanya nyo ng pagkakaibigan"...ang gagong to, hihirit pa na baka hindi daw ako qualified...all it takes is 12500 (or more, depends kung nag-mahal na ang membership fee nila ngayon) for someone to be qualified...

 

so to NU SKIN/PHARMANEX/SYNERGY or whatever the hell you call yourselves nowadays...

Because most of the so called "MLM companies" (again, not all) are really bogus or scam. Konti lang talaga yung legit at nagtatagal.

 

Pangalawa, dahil din sa kanila mismo, minsan kasi yang mga nagsasabi ng ganyan ay nakasali na o may kaibigan na sumali tapos hindi kumita. Sa presentation kasi syempre papakitaan sila ng malaking income at kung paano yun maaabot pero yung mata lang nila ay nakatuon sa income. At the end of the day, kala nila kikita sila ng walang gagawin.

 

Pangatlo, kaya pyramiding daw kasi you need to invite people at yung nasa taas lang daw ang kikita. What they don't know is pag di kumita yung nasa baba, hindi rin kikita yung nasa taas.
