You don't just claim that there is an epidemic. Did the DOH release any declaration about an HIV epidemic? Alam nyo ba kung ano ang ibig sabihin ng epidemic?

Alarming rate pa raw, wala namang binigay na figures.

Sa nag start ng thread na ito, mag bigay ka muna ng figures as proof kung epidemic nga.

HIV IN PHILIPPINES

Hindi ako sure kung updated ang info na to.

kasi ang mga date na nabanggit is 2008

august 2008 ang last update.

One alarming record is...

Philippines HIV time bomb grossly exaggerated

Although the Philippines is a low HIV incidence country, the media often reports that the Philippine government has concealed the extent of the HIV/AIDS problem.

The truth is that the most recent report (2007) by the World Health Organization puts a maximum estimate for HIV/AIDS incidence at 0.000125 for the total population and deaths from AIDS and deaths from AIDS in 2007 as <500 in 2007 (or 0.00000568 of the population. http://apps.who.int/globalatlas/predefined.../EFS2008_PH.pdf

However, recent findings suggest that there is indeed cause for continued awareness of the development of the infection rate

Hi Doc! Can I get genital warts with no sexual contact? I go to eSpas once in a while...but no intercourse...only hand jobs. Is it possible to get it from contaminated towels?

Thanks.

when we say genital warts, it is usually spread through direct skin-to-skin contact during oral, genital, or anal sex with an infected partner.

i was watching TV patrol last week and chanced upon this report

well, i didnt really paid that much attention to the report...it was after all TV patrol

at any rate, somehow they associate the AIDS "epidemic" to working in call centers

but is it just me, or are they confusing the call center industry with call boys and call girls?

Uso kasi ngayon ang threesome, foursome,

anal sex, tapos yung iba ang lakas ng loob mag-

livewire. HIV/Aids is the price you have to pay.

i think people who indulge with livewire commonly aware sila sa ginagawa nila. they will acknowledge the use of protection. isang nakakatakot na paraan is ung uso na SEB, stranger sex and ung mga quickie. sa SEB andali namang sabihin na napakalinis tapos hindi kailangan ng protection ganun din sa stranger sex. sa livewire alam ng costumer na hindi malinis ang babanatan nya kaya engot na lang ang hindi magprotection. one doctor here sabi nyan hindi raw sapat ang condom. disiplina daw sa sarili ang mabisang paraan.

hindi pa ba alarming ito???

So what? What is the percentage of infected cases that makes you claim that it's an epidemic?

Cancer incidence is also increasing.

So epidemic na rin? Alarming na rin sa yo?

Do you know the meaning of epidemic?

to put this in context...

what is alarming is that the spread of HIV is preventable/controllable with methods and devices readily available

and yet you get a research report such as this

either no one's paying attention or these methods dont really work

ignorance kills. imagine common victim ng aids is ung they take sex willingly, hindi rape or aksidente.

Wear wedding ring and it's the most effective against HIV

or remain vigilant. kaso walang basic sex education ang masang pinoy. hanggang panood lang ng pirated xxx then apply ang natutunang position.
