Just a gentle reminder to those that swear by just taking 1g of azithromycin for your std issues.. that only covers chlamydia..

Unfortunately, there seems to be a rise of people that self medicate.

Here is my opinion since umiwas na ako since last year. It was our third time and my last dahil I have to protect somebody else. 

Years before the pandemic mas common yata ang unprotected sex sa spakol kaysa mp. Factors are medyo nagkakakursunadan yung dalawa, naging regular, minsan lang makatikim si thera kaya pag napainitan kalimut na yung cd and malaking mag tip si client kaya bumibigay si thera. I have heard of a client at minsan ikukwento pa siya ni thera na may dalang test result to convince a thera for unprotected sex for 10k sa spakol.

Nang nag open muli mga spakol at mp nitong pandemic eto mga signs na unprotected sex will always exist.

Sabi ni mpa "di ka sanay may cd dapat sa iyo may regular ka". Suggesting na gawin mo siyang regular at papayag siya sa unprotected sex.

Sabi ni another mpa "gusto ko ginagawa mo basta hwag mo lang ipapasok". First encounter yan who knows sa susunod pabayaan ka na lang dahil tuluyan na niyang nagustuhan ang ginagawa mo.

Mga salita ng theras sa spakol:

Pumasok ang ulo sabay sabi ni thera "no". Marahil dahil first encounter so baka sa susunod yes na. 

"ayaw mo bang gumamit ng cd" habang dumidiskarte kang ipasok. Meaning kung itutuloy mo di na rin siya tatanggi para pagbigyan ka.

Accurate af, mabilis lang talaga makalive dito... pero kung gusto mo makarami at di makadamay, magkapote ka palagi, mapa oral / vaginal / anal pa yan. Thx for sharing sir. Trophy for u

So, I think I have some experience here.. given that I've done this test several times every year since I've started..

When you compare the screening vs the comprehensive it's testing for the same things not including the optionals. But the test types are different.

They both test for the following:

- HIV(4th gen ab/ag)

- Hepatitis B & C

- Syphillis(rpr, tppa)

- CBC & Urinalysis (good indicator for possible infections)

I've asked two doctors about this, and they've said the screening package should suffice for most cases.

However, both packages do not test specifically for gonorrhea or chlamydia.. which is unfortunate since those are some of the easiest and most common std's you can get.(you can get them as part of the optional, but they are expensive!)

Hsv tests are prone to false positives which is why it's best to test for it when you have symptoms(ask ur doctor, this is just my opinion)

Specimen: blood and urine

No testing requirments, though I would suggest the following since they tend to affect results for urinalysis:

- avoid heavy physical activity at least a day before. This sometimes cause blood to be postive in urine. UTI can also cause the same so it can be confusing.

- avoid masturbating or sex at least a day before as well. Same reason as above

- avoid medication if possible, otherwise just inform them of what you're taking.

- avoid alcohol at least a day before.

Actual test for std screening only takes a few minutes.. but usually about less than an hour depending on the queue. My longest wait time was 3 hours when there were a lot of people.

Test results are posted online usually within 24 hours for everything, some will be faster than others.

Please also note that there are different testing windows for different std's, I myself though only go for the 4-6 weeks post exposure accompanied with one baseline tests after a risky exposure.(risky: condom broke, live, etc.)

My usual is every 3 months I go for an std screening along with urine culture tests.
