mali ang grammar ng title ng thread. it should be "Why do beautiful women FALL for ugly me?"

 

to quote 1 of my friends who has seen this scenario one too many times, " it must be the car"

this is a question intended for "beautiful women", posted by a man, i suppose. but most replies came from men - ugly or otherwise. i wonder why.

 

this thread is so full of standards, weeding out women who aren't beautiful, and limiting to men who aren't ugly.

 

and it reeks with generalization.

but to answer your question, SOME beautiful women fall for dermatologically-challenged men probably because the apollos and adonises either turned gay, fat, high-and-all-mighty or got married.

 

but you see like beauty, ugliness is only skin-deep. there are quite a number of ugly people in divine packages. and a lot of beautiful people hidden in simple to shabby clothes.

I agree with you KristinLavransdatr. Most of the good looking guys are either taken or kung hindi pa man are too vain (masyadong mahal ang mga sarili) at may ere kaya hindi na ma-consider na kailangan mo ring "ligawan" ang babae.

 

O di kaya, feeling ng girl mas maganda pa sa kanya kasi nga bading....hehehe.

 

Most girls kasi don't go for the looks, as long as they can relate to the guy. A feeling of getting connected hindi lang dahil sa looks kundi dahil na rin sa sensibility nung guy. Or mabait, o matalino, o pwede ring mayaman. Ang importante kasi para makuha mo ang babae kahit na gaano pa sya kaganda ay ma-stir mo ang interes nya. Yung tipong pag-iisipan ka nya bago sya matulog kahit ano pa man yun (napatawa mo, naawa sa yo, etc...). Pag-nagyari 'to, di mag-tatagal at malalaglag din sya sa mga kamay mo kahit gaano ka pa kapangit.

Its really quite simple, women generally arent as critical about looks the way men are.

 

Physical appearance takes a back seat, or can be overruled by factors like personality, intelligence and that "special connection".

Perhaps LOVE is like a box of chocolate, you'll never know what you will get... Loving someone is not meant only to mean, "to love those who are beautiful", but also to include loving those who are "less privileged"... We may say that indeed face value plays a big role in choosing who we want to be with in a relationship, as I consider it as "the best moving factor for someone to gain interest with another"... Nevertheless, beauty is not all but just physical appearance, rather it speaks of the totality of a person's being...

 

The above question, I believe, is a perfect example of my 2 favorite quotes:

-"To love is not loving someone who is perfect instead loving the imperfect person perfectly..."

-"It's funny how we set qualifications for the one we ought to love, though at the back of our minds, the right one will always be the exception..."

 

It is my theory, however, that maybe one of the reasons why beautiful women tend to fall for "less privileged guys"(I don't want to use the word ugly because it is so discriminating...) is that these beautiful women may think that "less privileged guys" are more trustworthy than those of the handsome ones... Why??? Simple, it is because handsome guys have more tendencies of being unfaithful because a lot of girls will keep on lingering around them while in the case of the "less privileged guys" only a few, if not, nothing at all...

at times, the person may be beautiful on the outside, but the inside is rotten to the core. i have met many people who fit the bill

 

oh, & about that "it must be the car" quote, that was just a joke

 

then again, if the girl is materialistic...
