  1. 'Max' sir... i had doubts on that gossip about expose on Masuki. And i don't think GMA7's team would go for 'grease' monies with matters related to public health either. I'm not saying that those does not exist.

But with GMA7, i gave them the benefit of a doubt coz they don't have the tradition of sensationalism... unlike ABS2. In fact 7 is renown for being 'tight-wadded' & pound-for-pound having in possession of a better management structures than any broadcasters. Another thing... i knew the reputation of chrmn Mr. Gozon Esq., well, he is a retired veteran mold from Sycip-Salazar-Hernandez-Gatmaitan (& still a partner-emeritus) tradition & those oldies are of a different breed in ethics.

But getting back to the point - Masuki, they have been a pioneer in their field & one of the longest running one in GMA which is build on reputation of consistency in Chinese noodle delights. I have peruse of their gastronomic skills since the early 70s & still a routine for me whenever i flew into Ph while stationed abroad for 2 decades till 6yrs ago. This is what i can say - i never got any stomach troubles gorging Masuki's items... never.

In my view, Masuki's noodle has that 'Q' when chewed. That 'Q' measured how authentic (if you know what i meant) a Chinese 'mi' was all about. The one closest to them is Ling-Nam of Arranque, but still half-a-foot away.

Hand-pulled noodle (classic la-mien) is of different class, hence not included.

I still prefer the Ma Mun Lok of old, iba talaga ang mami and siopao nila noon, Makong was the second generation and now the third generation Masuki, the noodles serve nowadays are quite different from the previous years, I am sure you will notice this also........
