nagpautang ako at a financially tight time sa father-in-law ko due to a medical emergency. 90k (nobody else around had quick access to such amount, daw). he died after 2 months, unfortunately, and the debt was never paid.

Depends on you and the circumstances. If I were in your shoes, I probably wouldn't hold resentment. Isipin ko na lng na tulong yun and besides, what can you do? Ikasama lng ng loob mo yan. My uncle owes me a sht ton of money for his business but I don't count it against him since he's the only one taking care of my lola between them siblings. And hindi naman nababawasan medical bills ni lola. We are not obligated by any means to just dish out money. Nasa prinsipyo na natin yun. Now kung may nangutang sayo at hindi ka binabayaran tapos panay luho lng then that's a different story.

What if all your quarrels and problems were based off of misunderstandings, different levels of misunderstanding? Everyone has their biases, their own versions of what’s right and what’s wrong. At the end of the day, all anyone ever wants is to feel good. Whether their morals are ultimately correct is another case of its own but the point is always for feelings of goodness in themselves and as they are a part of this world, in this world. We all want goodness in this world that we share. So seek to understand, when you don’t. Seek love, when you hate. We’re all in this suffering, called life, together.
