gts250 is actually 8800gt with a new name

Better go for ATI 4870 if your budget hits 10,000

Hi guys, just want to ask something if Im gonna buy this video card Inno3D Geforce 9800GT 1GB GDDR3, would it be bottlenecked by my current PC specs:

 

AMD Athlon X2 4200

Abit Mobo (in a rush na ako cant remember the model name)

2GB DDR2-800

160GB SATA HD

20inch LCD

 

I want to play Microsoft Flight Sim X sana to the highest possible setting, I know kasi FS X is CPU intesive game and cant afford na ako to go for a quad system, iniisip ko if performance will improve kasi ang current gpu ko is 8600gt 256MB (running in 1680x1050) and slide show talaga ang dating even on medium settings. On other games previous gen games (COD4 etc.), ok naman siya diba? Ive heard kasi na kapag magrun ka ng games on high resolutions, the thing that you have to look for in a gpu is its memory and bit size tama po ba yun?

I suggest bringing your system to a computer shop & request them to change your processor to x2 7750 & increase the memory to 4 gig.

Re: video card, if your budget permits, go for the Palit 4850 1gb

- Pwede po bang DDR3 na Video Card (connect to PCE-E) ang bilhin kahit DDR2 lang ang memory ko

- Ano Pong Pinaka murang Video Card na may HDMI Interface ang pwede sa Board ko, balak ko kasi bumili ng SAMSUNG 2333HD as my monitor.

- May nakita ako "palit 8400gs 512mb 64bit ddr2" - is it any good? yan kasi ang pinaka murang Video Card na nakita ko With HDMI Interface kaso 64bit lang

Sa anong application mo ginagamit ang pc mo? Kapag ang gamit ng pc mo ay pang internet browsing at office application lang, palit 8400gs is good enough. Kapag autocad ang gamit mo, go for the 9500gt or 9600gt. Kapag games, 9800gt & up.

Ok lang gumamit ng video card na may ddr3 memory kahit na ddr2 lang ang memory ng pc mo.

Dont have much experience in SIm Lim tower except if we really need to buy electronic stuff for our lab experiments. But i heard a lot story that some of the shops are freaking really rude and will trick you to death.......... to all filipino specially the tourist, please shop with care ..

 

Funan should be a good place to shop and i think the price is comparable to Sim Lim....

Somehow I agree with you. This place is a bit over rated and overpriced. But, this is the only one available here in manila. Hopefully somone will develop somthing like an ocean park HK here. Impossible, but I hope someone catches is insane enough to spend that much money.

 

The trip here is "bitin" . Its like paying for an expensive 15min walk. anyway this are just my thoughts. ciao!

If you come in between 12noon to 6pm, this place is a rip-off. Why? Because of the thick crowds.

Is that something that a pldt serviceman could manipulate?

Last year, during installation, a pldt serviceman inform me that for P1,800 he could set my speed at over 1,000, I originally applied for a 512 speed.

They are open tomorrow. Please come in the morning 9am to avoid the crowds. I was informed that the place will be packed by noon.

If you can't come at 9am, then come at 6pm, there are less visitors by then, the place is open until 9pm.

I went to Manila Aquarium (MOP) this morning . . .

Grabe ang sarap, walang pila! All the staff are very accomodating - syempre malaming ang ulo dahil walang gaanong makukulit na guest.

There are 2 ticket choices:

P400 entrance fee to the aquarium only (less 20% for guest with senior citizen ID, less 10% for Manila residents with valid ID with Manila address)

P500 entrance fee to the aquarium with 10 minuites fish spa and glass bottom boat ride.

I took the P500 entrance because I want to experience the fish spa and glass bottom boat ride as well. By the way, sa glass bottom boat ride ko nakita ang malaking moray eel.

Manila Aquarium gets its salt water supply from the Manila Bay, it is filtered before it is released to the aquarium. Wow, it is amazing how filtered water can support marine life, may pag-asa pa pala ang Manila Bay.

An irony is MA attempts to educate the public on saving the environment. Assuming that our bodies of water are free of pollution. Anyone who wants to view marine animals can just put on a snorkel & jump into the Manila Bay-which is free, how can MA attracts paying visitors?

A long time ago, engineering applications - such are acad, are the most demanding applications, most games then are still in black & white & aren't that sophisticated yet. Later as hardware improves, game manufacturers sees the potential of the pc as a gaming tool, games becomes more graphics demanding.

And now a lot of good games required the use of more powerful graphics card that in some cases, would cost more than the entire system.

I need a low cost videocard to run acad using a dual 22" monitor setup, any suggestions for decent performance?
