  1. In 2001, Microsoft introduced the Tablet PC, with Bill Gates firmly believing that the next stage in man-machine interface was to eliminate the keyboard altogether. That idea flopped badly, and the only thing that Microsoft was able to save from that idea was Windows Vista with Tablet PC support, which can be seen in such devices as HP's Tx touchscreen laptop series.

The iPad doesn't offer anything new. So if Apple's iPad succeeds, I don't know what to say except that Apple has done a very good job of cultivating blind sheep from among the world's gadget users.

  2. Kadiri naman, pinaghugasan ng private parts? :thumbsdownsmiley:

Narinig ko na yang laway na yan from our previous maids. Ginagamit din daw ito para palaging mabait sa kanila ang mga magiging amo. Tanggal sa trabaho not long after I told my mom. Sobrang unsanitary at kasuka-suka ang mga pamahiin na ito.

Bakit nga ba kailangan pa ng gayuma kung indi mo naman kamukha si Mahal or Kuhol (Mongolian Barbecue, remember?)

  3. Sinusumpong itong PC ko: when I boot it up, sometimes lumalabas sa BIOS yung message "Checksum error", then it says na yung computer date ko is not compatible with the date on my Windows, and if gusto kong palitan. The date is always January 1, 2005 (presumably the date of manufacture of the motherboard). Ang tanong: is this a hardware or software problem? How do I solve it? Kung hardware problem, which hardware is it? Thanks for any help :)

  4. It takes a laughably strenous stretch of the imagination to say the Grizz are the best team in the NBA. That said, this team has a great future, and is better than their record suggests. I hope they win tomorrow; I have 5t riding on them vs the Bulls. heehee :P

  5. I've been using a my|phone mobile phone for the past year, and I love it. People always mistake it for a Blackberry, but it's actually very basic and no-frills (which is something I like about it). I bought it for its dual-SIM capability, and it fulfills that function exceedingly well. So that's a "thumbs up" on Chinese mobile phones for me!

Pare, what myPhone model is that? Meron kasi silang bagong labas na Q21 and Q22, both QWERTY phones, mukhang maganda yung build based on what I've seen my officemate's unit. I'm eyeing myPhone for the first time for its dual-SIM capability. May one-yr warranty naman, so siguro walang pangamba pag masira. Saka mura lang, P3,600 for the Q21.

  6. Panda Travel is best for China-bound tours. Malakas sila sa mga hotel operators and airlines dun. Even if you ride PAL, maganda din rates. As with other agencies, taas-baba din ang presyo based on season, pero I've been with them 2x na, and the food on both tours was great. Pang-shopping na lang talaga yung gastos namin.

  7. Business is business kaya dapat talagang malumpo na ng tuluyan at maubos na ang lahi ni Henry Sy.. hahahaha.. Anyway, that's how Henry Sy became a business tycoon in our country imagine selling shoes before and now the owner of the biggest mall in Asia.. Ganun din si Bill Gates at kung sino pang mga businessman.. Talagang business lang at walang awa-awa.. :thumbsdownsmiley:

Bill Gates became what he is today by jumping the gun on other software developers; he saw that the PC could be a common household appliance and piggybacked on IBM's hardware to sell MS-Dos and Windows to the world. Talino at foresight tawag dun. Etong si Henry Sy, dinadaan sa palakihan ng titi. He knows no other mall (even those of the Ayalas) come close to him in terms of market drawing power, so he does things like:

    a) requiring you to open a BDO account when you're an SM supplier

    B) monopolizing all mineral water/LPG sales sa foodcourt or restos (try asking anyone who's tried to sell these things to SM's tenants)

    c) charging boutiques for public areas outside their stores (ie., yung corridor sa labas ng store mo may bayad din yon, it's already factored into the rent--this came from someone I know at SM HQ)

    d) forcing new prospective tenants to buy point-of-sales (POS) systems from their accredited suppliers. So kung indi ka bumili sa mga "accredited," you will be given all sorts of bullshit about how your cash register, for example, isn't compatible with their servers, etc. A friend of mine who opened a coffee shop at MOA encountered this. When she opted for the SM-accredited supplier, pasok agad ang system. Bullcrap.

Nung Typhoon Ondoy, SM Centerpoint was flooded, including yung supermarket area. SM asked its concessionaires to pay P250,000 each for "repairs and maintenance." T*nginang yan, indi ba dapat yung SM ang magbayad sa mga concessionaires dahil na-damage yung tinda from a mall that wasn't flood-proofed? F&ck Henry Sy. All the other mall owners are no less blame-worthy. Mall owners are the modern-day haciendero.

  8. Paano kung yung guy eh old enough to be your dad, tapus mukha namang indi gold digger yung girl, and yung guy naman isn't merely looking for a trophy wife? How would you explain the attraction? Perfect example nito is yung 29-yo councillor from Valenzuela, si Shalani Soledad, whose bf now is the 51-yr old Noynoy Aquino. YES, THAT NOYNOY AQUINO na kapatid ni Kris.

My own experience with older women: nung elementary school ako, I used to send roses to a favorite guidance counsellor. Head over heels talaga ako nun sa kanya. Everyone in my batch knew it, and I was unashamed! Haha! Makes me laugh upon recollection. It didn't go further than that, though, dahil torpe pa ako nun at may bf si ma'am.

Regarding me with younger women: I was once introduced to this 17-yr-old girl whose mom had "pre-approved" me dating her after she turned 18 dahil yung isang auntie ko guaranteed I was a good boy (hihi). Feeling ko sobrang layo ng age gap namin nun; I was 30 then, and parang indi siya maka-jive pag seryosong topic na pinaguusapan (ex., politics, economy, world events), pero we blended well pag mababaw lang pinag-uusapan (ex, showbiz, health and fitness, grooming). On several levels, parang ayaw talaga mag-advance nung relationship kahit papanong tulak, so I opted to remain just friends with her. She texts me once in a while to say hello and I do likewise, but we never went out after the two weekends we spent together.

So Noynoy's situation makes me really curious: "NOY, ano bang meron mo at parang tugma kayo ng isang 29-yo girl?" LOL :)

  9. --yung hilig mangutang at palaging incomplete magbayad or not on time magsoli ng gamit (is it everyone's experience or is it just my bad luck na lagi akong may nae-encounter na ganito sa iba't-ibang naging trabaho ko?)

--yung pagiging racist sa ibang lahi na perceived inferior (eg., Bumbay, Africans, etc), especially when it comes to off-color jokes

  10. Condos are well-marketed products for schmucks who like to feel they're all that. Pag wala kang lupa at bahay, you really have strayed so far from the basics. Land, air, a place to stroll and let kids play, lots of greenery... these are things no condo can provide, even with a communal area for jogging and such. Sila Zobel ba, tingin niyo titira sa condo for long term? Inde. But they sure sell a lot of these to the consuming masses.

So sorry for the triple post! The browser kept freezing and returning a "flood control in effect, pls wait 60 secs to post" message so I thought indi na-upload ang post ko! Apologies!!
