I think you will find feather linux interesting since it is able to run from a USB stick. Only issue is that it will wear the stick down since it will be accessed more extensive. Speed is a bit slower though

you could use damn small linux. i think it could run even on a pentium I. it's so darn fast. however, i do have some problems with it connecting to the internet. but still you could get one with open office and firefox already so i guess that's a good choice for slow pc's.

suggestion would be to use linux. they're so user friendly nowadays you won't know the difference. try ubuntu or mepis.

as far as windows antivirus and firewalls are concerned. use comodo antivirus and firewall. so far they're the best i've seen na free. they even prompt you if someone tries to access the internet thru the backdoor.

This disease took my mom's life about a year and a half ago. Its hard being an MD at these time, coz when your doctor friends tell you, and you yourself know that there's nothing left to do, you feel hopeless, thinking what the heck have you been studying all this time!!!

Anyway, since then, i've been employed in a sort of alternative medical clinic which entailed not just the use of herbs, but also nutrition as a form of treatment for cancer. Sometimes it works on its own, however, i would advise combining it with conventional therapy. if anyone would like some info on cancer prevention tips and advise, just pm me would gladly help. Maybe if i could help others, i could at least diminish the helplessness i felt when my mom was sick.
