  1. Magkakaalaman na kung may dayaan na nangyari. Sa tingin ko meron. Caguioa allegedly drafted a ruling seeking to end the Marcos case. It is expected since he is a friend of BS Aquino III. However, there are justices who are against his ruling. The ruling could be decided today or in the next two to three weeks. If the majority votes for Caguioa's ruling, the "yellowtards" will celebrate. If the majority will vote against it, the case will move on to the "presentation of evidence" stage. This is the stage where the cheating favoring Robredo will be shown.

  2. in fact, even if we field in an all collegiate line-up with kai soto, thirdy ravena, kobe paras, dave ildefonso, ricci rivero, i honestly believe we will still come out on top. probably sbp just wanted to make sure of the gold by fielding in an all pro squad with coach time at the helm. baka daw mabulilyaso chief

SBP should have just given the SEA Games to the amateurs. Baka naman gustong pahiyain ng SBP yung SEA teams kasi sobrang napahiya tayo sa FIBA-Worlds.

  3. chief, coach tim for the sea games i think is even an overkill...even without coach tim, i know team pilipinas will still come up with the gold considering the quality of the competition. but outside of the sea games, there is only one name being mentioned in this thread which unfortunately SBP has not considered.......yet! mukhang natutulog pa ang mga bossing

Actually, chief, I was thinking the same thing. The SEA Games line-up is overkill. I wish they sent that line-up to the FIBA-Worlds.

  4. Cmon Wil, these are national and world leaders we are talking about. People in the highest positions as far as world affairs are concerned. To assume they know nothing about our laws is idiotic. These guys do not just yap their mouths without assessing the situation first.

Again, do these entities know the laws of our land? Have they quoted laws to conclude that De Lima is just being persecuted politically? You are effectively implying that our judges are dumb and don't know what they are doing. That is utter disrespect.

Since we are at it. Tell me how De Lima is politically persecuted.

  5.

The European Union, United Nations, the Catholic Church, CHR, Amnesty International, US, Iceland... all have a problem with Duterte's drug war. Havent you thought for a second that maybe it is you and the rest of Digong supporters who doesn't have the facts straight?

On the contrary, it is "yellowtards" like you who have the facts screwed up. Do these organizations know our laws? I am pretty sure you won't be able to have a credible, much less erudite retort to this because, just like every "yellowtard", you are clueless.

Moreover, these entities you mentioned are all talk. Has any case prospered against the Duterte administration? Puro kayo dakdak. Wala naman napatunayan.

  6. perasol was like a smoking bull ready to attack (with clenched fists) the matador. such a disgrace to the UP community.

yes choose tab to coach then let everything fall into play. unfortunately, sbp seems to be entertaining other ideas...napaka-simple lang tsk tsk tsk

I like Tim. I mean the guy is a proven winner and coach of our PBA team but let's face it. Tab is a notch above Tim in international play.

  7. chief i honestly believe the solution to our basketball woes is choosing the right coach. it's up to him now who will comprise the team. it's not necessarily the best player in his position but the right player to adopt to the system...and sbp should act fast. we barely have more than 3 years before 2023. that is sufficient enough preparation. let's see what the basketball gods will do after the sea games.

i know this is ot but yesterday's alleged preview of season 82 basketball finals showed 2 different coaches. one classy coach with his gang of so-so young men playing within the system vs. a classless hot-headed coach with his talented squad (paras, rivero, gomez de liano). the system outplayed the star players. smothering defense and crisp ball movement were so evident, it was over when perasol was thrown out. akala ko players lang ang may fighting stance, pati din pala si perasol

Yes, chief. Choosing the right coach is the only solution because after that, choosing the team and the system is the coach's problem. I did not even read the convoluted article. The only solution as far as we fans and supporters are concerned is tap Tab and everything will fall into place.

I was never sold on Perasol. I saw an excerpt of that Perasol meltdown. Nakakatawa.Tab is a cut above the rest. There is a gulf in terms of coaching between the rest of the UAAP coaches and Tab, except maybe Aldin Ayo of UST.

  8. Kahit ano pa gawin natin diyan talaga walang mangyayari kung hindi natin susundin ang mga suggestions ko.

This is cocky. Don't you think? What makes you think your suggestions trump the suggestions of others?

  9.

Tim Cone, who will call the shots for the team, named LA Tenorio, Scottie Thompson, Stanley Pringle, Greg Slaughter, Japeth Aguilar, and Art dela Cruz to the 15-man pool. They will be joined by the San Miguel core of June Mar Fajardo, Marcio Lassiter, Christian Standhardinger, and Chris Ross.

Had this team gone to the FIBA-Worlds, I would guarantee a trip to the Olympics. Cmon, Kiefer Ravena over LA Tenorio? CJ Perez over Scottie Thompson? Let's face it, the players in the SMC group are way better than the players from the MVP group that is why SMB, Ginebra and Purefoods are perennial finals contenders.

"This is not always the truth, but generally, veterans are easier to coach in the short-term, they pick up things faster than the young guys," he explained. "Again, this is all about speed and efficiency, that we're trying to do."

Although I still think that Tab is better than Tim in the international game, I fully agree with Tim's reasoning.

  10. Very Fine with Isko. As for Vico, sa 2020 daw kasi eh.

Madami pang bigas na kakainin si Vico bago siya maging mala-Isko. Sotto seems clueless on the traffic situation in Pasig. Masama na nga yung traffic dun and I was a witness to this a couple of times, tinangal pa yung color-coding. Ang resulta ay gridlock. This is one dumb move by this novato.

    Makati-Old-Photos_3.jpg

    Source: spot

This was the virginal Makati in the mid-60s before it became a city. Based on the pic since I wasn't in existence yet, the corner on the right foreground is the Dela Costa-Ayala. GT Tower and Convergys are the present buildings on the left and right, respectively, on the right foreground. Valero would be the street on the left foreground.

San Lorenzo would be the one on the right background while BGC would be the area on the further right and center background.

Greenbelt, Legaspi Village and Salcedo Village were still as green as can be.

  12. yes i read this article. program director?! come on SBP...you can do better than that. the coach that will lift philippine basketball to world standards is in katipunan. nyeta!!! mga bulag...pinamimigay na nga namin for the sake of flag & country.

Something is holding back the SBP from tapping Tab anew. But if they're gonna get a new coach, that coach has to be topnotch. Someone like Sergio Scariolo. The guy has guided Spain to three FIBA-Europe titles and one FIBA-World title. I wouldn't mind David Blatt. I heard he's good in developing young players. It's just too unfortunate that the crybaby diva, Lechoke James, decided to return to Cleveland when he was about to start to coach the Cavs.

  13. Unfortunately, no one took this recommendation from Tommy Manotoc seriously.

I agree that Tab's coaching is on another level that is why I told junix that I concede the UAAP title to ADMU. He is just way too good for other coaches.

It is imbecilic for the SBP to tap Tim Cone as coach for the SEA Games since this will be only temporary. If it wants to start an effective basketball program, it has to start with the coach. Like I said, when it chooses a coach, it has to be a coach for life.
