  1. No.

The reason why overdrive exists is to save fuel and increase the refinement. Driving on a highway at a high-speed cruise with it OFF is going to be much, much harder on your wallet.

Besides, overdrive is NORMALLY TURNED ON by default. Leave it on.

Edit: I think a lot of people are getting the wrong idea from the name "overdrive" as if it's going to give you some sort of nitrous-like boost. It's nothing more than top gear. If you were driving a manual-transmission car you'd be foolish or extremely ignorant to stay at first gear all the time, right? It's the same with automatics.

  2. I've got a whole bunch of these.

    From "Music and Lyrics":

Hugh Grant - "Pop! Goes My Heart"

Hugh Grant and Haley Bennett - "Way Back Into Love"

    From "Wicker Park":

    Stereophonics - "Maybe Tomorrow"

Johnette Napolitano and Danny Lohner - "The Scientist"

Snow Patrol - "How To Be Dead"

    From "My Best Friend's Wedding":

Tony Bennett - "The Way You Look Tonight"

    From "The Graduate":

Simon and Garfunkel - "The Sound of Silence"

Simon and Garfunkel - "Mrs. Robinson"

    From "Rent":

Stevie Wonder and the Cast - "Seasons of Love"

  3. Overdrive (O/D) is a fancy term for the automatic transmission's top gear. In a typical four-speed automatic gearbox, O/D simply refers to 4th gear.

When you drive with overdrive turned off on a four-speed auto 'box, you are effectively driving with just the three remaining gears. Even if the vehicle reaches a high enough speed to use 4th gear properly, the gearbox will not upshift and will remain in 3rd. This is handy for overtaking and moderate engine braking (e.g. when driving downhill on a steep grade), but it makes the car use more fuel and run noisier on a steady-speed cruise.

The most prudent thing to do is to leave O/D on. Unless you really need to override the auto 'box's programming, let the 'box do the shifting for you. Most automatics are programmed for economy driving by default.

  4. For Jazz owners:

A couple of stretchable "bungee cords" with hooks...the same ones used to lash bags to strollers a long time ago.

This is useful for tying down loose cargo and preventing it from sliding around while driving, since the Jazz has cargo hooks in the rear. I'm sure a few other cars also have such rear cargo hooks or loops.

  5. Go-karts are a lot like riding motorbikes. Bigger engines mean bigger power, but also mean a harder time for newbies.

Start small. Get the smallest-engined karts to accustom yourself to the strains of the sport while starting out. Remember that it takes a certain level of fitness to be a very effective karter, especially over long stints.

You have to master the kart, not the other way 'round

  6. I've tried Kart Trak at Boom na Boom a couple times. There's no real straightaway on that track so the G-force is always present.

It takes a surprising amount of fitness to drive a go-kart for extended periods. After my 15-minute stints, I was spent. A sensitive left foot helps a lot, too, because it's surprisingly easy to lock up your brakes if you're not careful.

  7. My regular phone, a 6600, developed keypad problems.

I reverted back to my dad's old 8910---pretty much the last of the pre-Symbian Nokias.

I realize just how much I missed the simpler days of Nokia's cellphones...before the Symbian-powered units came in (remember the first one, the 7650?). My 3310 and 8250 were all simple phones that lasted so many years and generally ran without a hitch.

  8. The fastest i got was 5 minutes.....seriously...

How did i do it? I just simply told her...."Miss pwede bang makipagkilala...."

And we have a winner, folks! :D

Seriously though I guess there's no substitute for being nice and having good conversation that lasts...I could use a few tips because I have no compass when it comes to "sealing the deal"

  9. Rusty Lopez makes pretty damn good shoes. Their sizing is also surprising...I could almost call it crazy. I have a size-9 foot but their size-7 shoe fit me best.

Hush Puppies are also very, very comfortable and well worth their price for daily dress shoes. I have a pair of their rubber-soled loafers. Almost four years later they're still in one piece and just about as good as when I first got them.

  10. You can't avoid breasts sagging with time because of gravity, as some have already said.

If you were to look at a cross-section of the breast, it's mostly fat (again as some have already discussed) and a collection of mammary glands. Holding it all in place is an "internal bra" of sorts, made up of connective tissue. How resilient this "internal bra" is is determined by genetics. There's not much you can do to prevent gravity taking over.

Women can try enlarging their pectorals by doing chest exercises and weights. This way, everything above the muscle (including breast fat and tissue) is pushed forward and upward. Breasts will naturally enlarge in certain periods, such as motherhood or with the menstrual cycle.

Short of implants though, there's not much else girls can do to permanently have bigger breasts. I hope this helps

  11. Even medium tint turns a car into a bitch to park at night, from my experience.

I'd rather just deal with the problem in two ways:

    1. Buy a cheap, reflective full-length sun visor for my windshield

    2. Bite the bullet and invest in hugely expensive V-Kool clear tinting
