  1. Anyone tried some of Marikina's Own (ex. The Godfather, Mariquina)?

    I have tried Black Wing and they are really good. Got a custom made chukka boot from them. I'm planning to get an Oxford from them too but I'm still exploring Marquina's designs.

  2. Zara Man dress shoes for everyday use;

    Hermes formal leather shoes for special occasions and special meetings;

    Topsider boat shoes for casual wear;

    Amiri "skel" slip-ons for relaxed wear;

    Salomon "speedcross" for the day at the gun range; and

    Black Wing chukka boots for out of town trips -- pwedeng formal, pwedeng casual.

  3. McJim leather card holder for daily use. Can store up to 8 cards/IDs and around 15 bills (plus a few receipts). Very light on the pocket.

    Prada Saffiano bi fold as my "fun wallet". Hehe!

  4. Shopee cheaper finds; Lazada for some high-end items.

    In terms of quality of products, so far wala pa namang sablay sa experience ko. In terms of delivery service, almost the same naman sila except if you're buying from abroad -- mas mabilis si Lazada.

    Online shopping is very convenient. Ingat lang sa mga knock-offs. Always read the comments and review the items that you bought din para makatulong sa ibang online shoppers. Like MTC, online shopping portals are also a community, so give and take lang din tayo.

    As a rule of thumb, it is advisable not to buy electronics via online shopping because you can't really be sure of the state of the item nor how it was packaged and delivered. Baka imbes na convenient eh maging sakit lang sa ulo nyo.

    Just my two cents.

    Happy shopping!

  5. Just curious. How would you define a Hard Core Gym? Is it based solely on equipment alone?

    Hardcore Gyms are usually those gyms that have an equipment allowing you to lift heavier than the usual. These kind of gyms typically have dumbells exceeding 150lbs. and a lot -- A LOT of barbell plates which weigh more than a hundred pounds each.

    It can differ according to the user, but definitely, it is not your usual mainstream (not to say expensive) gyms around the metro.

    Just my two cents.

  6. Sa QC Area:

    100 Revolving Restaurant by Chef Jessie

    > located at the 33rd floor of the Mercury Drug building sa Eastwood, Libis.

    > you will have a full view of the Metro here. Saktong matatapos nyo yung food nyo sa saktong tapos ng ikot ng buong floor. So you can really enjoy the view here.

    > TIP: You have to make an advanced reservation and specifically reserve a table dun sa revolving floor, otherwise, baka dun kayo mapunta sa gitnang part ng resto where hindi nyo maeexperience yung revolving floor nila.

    Sa Makati Area:

    Top of the Citi by Chef Jessie

    > located at the 34th floor of Citibank Tower sa may Paseo de Roxas.

    > best to go here at night para hindi mainit and mas maenjoy nyo yung lights and sounds of the metro.

    Panalo dito sa mga to. "Makalaglag panty" ika nga. Hehe!

  7. If travelling light or if you're going here primarily for surfing or the beaches, panalo yung Flotsam and Jetsam sa San Juan, La Union. If fully booked na, you can also try Sebay Surf Central. A night would cost you PhP1,600.00 - PhP 2,500.00 during the off-season and could go as high as PhP 3,500.00 - PhP 4,000.00 a night during the summer season.

    If quality food ang hanap nyo while enjoying the surfing beach of San Juan, Sebay is the place to go. May standalone restaurant sila kaya okay lang na pumunta dito kahit sa ibang hotel ka naka check-in.

    If may budget ka naman and you want to really relax, Thunderbird Resort is the place to go. This is in Poro Point, San Fernando, La Union. A night here would cost you around PhP 5,000.00 - Php10,000.00 a night -- depende sa room na kukunin nyo.

    If pool swimming naman with the family, you can try Kultura or Pugad -- both in Pugo, La Union. This is just along Marcos Highway going up to Baguio. As far as I can remember, entrance fee here costs around PhP 250.00 - PhP 500.00 and the cottages will vary depending on your choice. If I'm not mistaken, the cheapest is PhP 1,000.00 for an umbrella with tables and chairs.

    Hope you enjoy La Union, guys!

  8. If you're a morning person or at least someone who needs to travel early to their office and catches breakfast at the road, I recommend KANTO FREESTYLE BREAKFAST.

    They serve a variety of our breakfast favorites such as Spam, Longganisa, Pampanga Tocino and Bacon!!!!!! Their Eggs Benedict are the bomb too!

    They serve at a really reasonable price which ranges from 35 Pesos for a Bacon strip to 110 Pesos for a full rice meal.

    It's located in Sct. Fuentebella, near Tomas Morato.

  9. Transcend StoreJet (1TB) for added peace of mind since it is rugged and has protection which passes military drop standards;

    Western Digital EasyStore (2TB) for no-frills storage and back up of filesbsuch as movies, music, games, etc. since mas mura eto and mas durable compared to other entry-level external HDDs.
