People call me "masungit", "mataray" and any other negativity but let me ask you first...

𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐨𝐱𝐢𝐜 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝, 𝐢𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚 𝐡𝐮𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐝𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲'𝐬 𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞, 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐬, 𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐨 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞.

People in leadership positions will often look for a quick fix, but it’s not the key. It’s easy to blame the hiring process or one individual employee, but unfortunately, despite the policies, the buck stops with you as the person who sits in the leadership position. 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐞𝐬 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐱𝐢𝐜 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬.

This is why even with a heavy heart, we must always make a discussion based on the possibility of what would be the best for our business even if it costs us our relationships with our employees. This is why leaders should still draw the line. We should think long term and not be short sighted and tempted with whatever offers especially those that are too good to be true.
