  1. I personally do not take surveys seriously. The people who conduct surveys can easily be bribed to condition the minds of people.

    I too do not put much stock on surveys. I acknowledge that it is a valid and recognized method for gathering data, but I wouldn't just accept a "rating" without being informed as to how that number was arrived at. When the media reports "approval rating", what exactly does "approval" mean? What were the questions asked in the survey? Who were surveyed? Because definitely I wasn't surveyed. Also, who validates the results of the surveys? These are the logical questions that should be asked, but alas, the great majority of the Filipino people believes what is reported in the media as if it was fact.

  2. Don't Quit

    When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,

    When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,

    When the funds are low and the debts are high,

    And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,

    When care is pressing you down a bit -

    Rest if you must, but don't you quit.

    Life is queer with its twists and turns,

    As every one of us sometimes learns,

    And many a fellow turns about

    When he might have won had he stuck it out.

    Don't give up though the pace seems slow -

    You may succeed with another blow.

    Often the goal is nearer than

    It seems to a faint and faltering man;

    Often the struggler has given up

    When he might have captured the victor's cup;

    And he learned too late when the night came down,

    How close he was to the golden crown.

    Success is failure turned inside out -

    The silver tint in the clouds of doubt,

    And you never can tell how close you are,

    It might be near when it seems afar;

    So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit -

    It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.

  3. Thanks for this wonderful piece of info. 2.2k is not bad for a Corregidor day trip.laugh.gif

    Just wanna ask if a day is enough to visit the island? i don't really wanna spend a night there if the objective's just to go ghost-hunting.

    Yup. Definitely a must see tourist spot.
