I am now using a sony ericson K750i, feature wise it is the best cell phone that I ever had. A lot easier to use now since they made the keys a lot like Nokia. Great camera and mp3 player too. Looks sturdy din.

Yo bouncing boy, nice pair of shoes you got. Yeah I was at nike park sa manila a while ago and saw the white /black operate at aroung 2,500 nalang ata, but saw something that I like better. Unfortunately they didn't have my size. The terminator with zoom felt ok too. Let us know how the operate feels on the court when you get to use them ok, the last time I tried them on they felt a bit big at the forefoot. But ankle and mid support felt fine. Although the midfoot strap didn't do much difference when you had them strap on or not.

Just one of the few items on sale at adidas greenbelt 3. The A3 decade, reminds me a lot of my old time favorite back in high school. the adidas top ten. Looks cool. :cool:

I'm not sure yet, but I think the blk/purple colorway( Kobe edition) might not find it's way to the Philippines or any other place in the world aside from California I read some where in Nike talk that the particular colorway is only exclusive there and only around 2500 to 3000 pairs is going to be made.Some over seas Filipinos are even offering guys over here that model but for a price. ( us bargain hunters have to look elsewhere ) but just the same Doc it looked pretty nice noh :cool:

I think only heel air bag lang because I remember trying it on during the last sale at rufino, I could feel the the air bag when I apply pressure at the heel but the forefoot felt closer to the ground and much more flexible which can only mean one thing and that is the only compound for support there is only pylon at the midsole. Yeah I will check out when uli yung next sale nila. :thumbsupsmiley:

Psyches, until when daw yung sale. I didn't get the schedule right like I posted the last time. Are they extending it till Saturday. Anyway I saw the shoe you are refering to that look like the huarache 2K4, its actually the Air Total pachage. Basically the same shoe profile except without the technological stuff in the huarache like the carbon fiber sahnk at the foot bed, the zoom air bag and the TPU heelsupport. But its still a great shoe, very light and I like the design, very clean. A good buy I should say. :cool:

I saw one in SM Makati at 40% off but the colorway they have is the all-black one.

 

I was in Glorietta again yesterday & I went to the And 1 Clearance Store to buy sana the And 1 Chosen One. Unfortunately, the biggest size they have is 9. Tough luck! I guess that shoe is not meant for me.

Yeah I got the all black one as well but at 50% off. I was choosing either the operate or the finisher to replace the black Zoom turbine that broke down during a game of mine last week. The whole bottom part just came off, good thing that I was able to save the zoom air bag inside so I can use it for my walking shoe. Anyway it turns out the finisher felt better on my feet, no movement either from side to side or front and back. The operate felt a bit too roomy at the toes which was for me just fine because we can always compensate wearing thick socks like Burlinton XT. But the heel cushining did felt a bit soft compared to the finisher, which I think will hold up much longer and a better shoe for me playing on concrete basketball court. Oh before I forget, I just want to inform you guys that the same sale of nike at Rufino is now at a new location. It over at the 17th floor of raffles bldg at ortigas along emerald ave. Didn't get the chance to go there so maybe you guys can see what interesting buys we can get. My contact told me that the sale started today and its up till tomorrow. Don't know why its such a short time. So you guys have fun now if you get the chance and keep posting. :thumbsupsmiley:

Same color as the picture I posted. 50% off so that should be around 3,300.00 plus, good bargain na siya come to think of it. Because at the adidas depot,some shoes were hovering around the price of 3,000 for a little bit more this shoe offer great impact protection with great heel to toe transition. Something most full length max shoe didn't have in the past.( Prof K said that the previous max shoe release by Nike like the air max elite felt a bit of clunkiness when you land on impact) Not really the choice for players playing the guard position, but with the finisher they might have a change of mind. Cushioning started out a bit firm but later it was just fine. Never felt any soreness in my knees and the balls at the heel of my feet after a game on concrete flooring. Why pay more Nike depote is located along shaw blvd. Just before you reach the flyover across EDSA. Its at the right side of the street going to EDSA, another landmark is look for the signage of babyland. Its shop is just beside it. Yo Spitzy, The reason why the balls at the heel of your feet hurts when you wear your VC3 to play ball is because, like Doc love mentioned, there is no mid sole. I think you must have taken out the sock liner of that shoe and notice the blue pad at the lower portion of the sock liner. Nike calls that the impact distribution compound or something like that.It acks like the same technology that asics use for their running shoe which is the gell. The technology isn't perfect as you might knopw by now. Actually there were a lot of bad feedbacks I got from friends who wear nike shox basketball shoe, not just the VC 3 but also the other models. Some experience sheen spline or even wore soreness of the knees. I also experience it when I first wore my shox limitless. But after a few more times the pain went away. Guess unlike zoom air or air max, the shoe fits right out of the box. The shox need some breaking time, but it also may rely a lot on the type of surface that you play on. We use to play at our old high school basketball court, which is concrete. So its not as forgiving on the feet or knees compared when you are playing on wooden surface. Well I do have one suggestion that you might want to try looking for a shoe. I went to why pay more at shaw blvd and I saw a size 13 Nike max finisher. I've been hearing a lot of good feed backs from players who are big and play big about the shoe. A bit on the heavy side and restrict the ankle a bit because of the High TPU brace in the design, but aside form that prof K has very high regard for that particular shoe. Oh did I also mention that its on sale at 50% off. So it's up to you friend, who knows you might like it.

Spitzky, Rufino tower is located at the corner of Ayala Avenue and Herrera street. Thats where NIke Philippnes is located on the 38th or 39th floor ata. But the last sale was on the 10th floor. Tey usually hold sale for different distributing company of nike, so as of the moment there is no news yet on any of these company having any sale. I will post up any news again if there will holld another sale. Usually they have these sale twice or thrice a year. They already had two so the next one might be at the last quarter of the year na. Ok thats all for now. Oh try club 650 over at libis they have lots of sports depots over there, they might just have your size available. Its just beside shopwise and near eastwood.

I haven't yet tried wearing a fake shoe playing b-ball. Too risky kasi baka magkainjury e. I have a friend who wears a fake AJ3. Ginamit na lang niya yung sockliner ng Nike Utraflight niya kasi nandun yung Zoom Air & he wears ankle braces. Ang ganda nga ng porma nung AJ3 niya. Mukhang orig. Malalaman mo lang na fake kasi hindi siya totoong leather. May air sole din, ewan ko lang kung gumagana yun.

 

Regarding the AJ4 white & green colorway, classic yung style niya. Bagay na pangporma or panglaro. I'll try buying it once it hits 40% off. Sana may matira pa. Yun nga lang, leather yung brace sa top laceholders unlike sa plastic ng originals. But I think its more durable than the originals. I had an AJ4 kasi nung high school ako & nilaspag ko talaga yun. The first na bumigay dun ay yung plastic braces.

 

The best AJ's for me are the 1, 3, 4, & 5. If I have to choose only one, it would only be the 3.

Hi doc , I was back reading some of your old post and I would like to clear something up regarding the sock liner of the nike ultraflight. There is no truth that there is zoom airbag inside the sock liner. The full length zoom air bag is in the midsole, another zoom air bag is placed at the area of the heel which made it double stack. The sockliner may look and feel like it has zoom in it but if you examine it closely its just made of a firm shock absorbing material with holes in it to disperse heat. Actually my friend and myself have experience a disturbing pinching sensation when we first use the ultraflight because the perimeter of the sockliner curves up to cradle the foot , so it wont move that much inside the shoe, but what really happen is , part of your skin or sock get pinch when you flex the foot and a small gap of space occur between the sockliner and the inner wall of the foot, its not really a big problem. You only need to wear thicker socks or replace the existing sockliner with spenco orther insole brand. After that everything is fine. Prof K did experience the same thing and stated that the pinching sensation did go away after a few wearing of the ultraflight.

Yeah been looking for those converse pro icon, but they are not here in the philippines yet. Only saw the converse icon warrior. I like the insignia of the shoe to be bigger so you can see it from afar . Hope they get here soon, our church basketball tournament is about to start and my teamates plans to have a miami heat theme uniform, those shoes really looks great , specially the white/ red colorway. But the best thing is only few players wore converse and there are no fakes out there yet. So litaw na litaw ka sa court..hahaha. :thumbsupsmiley:

Yeah forgot to mention that it was on sale at 40% off regarding sa Nike delta force. Last pair na yun so you better hurry. There was also a few pair of the Air jordan 2 lows at the same discopunt, but the size for the red/white combination is only size 10, while the blue /white combination is sizee 11 the biggest. Sayang nga eh, really wanted those for a long time na, great for cillin dont you think :cool:

Well sometimes they do have those that are less than 2 thousand, but don't buy the signature shoes of the players like T-mac or jordans. Definitely they will still be more expensive than the regular ones. It won't be easy to get a shoe of your size but be patient

i need a basketball shoe preferably all black or predominantly black.  my size for adidas and reeboks is 13.  dont know if it will be the same for nike.  where can i buy the cheapest original shoes on sale.  im not particular with designs, just need a decent shoe for protection which can also be worn with jeans for everyday wear.

Well if you are into addidas, there is a depot over at tutuban center mall 2 divisoria. Another option is if you are near pasig , there is club 650 just beside shopwise, There are a couple of stores over there that sell over stock sports gear at almost 40% off. Try your luck you might find one thast fits your taste and budget.

Err excuse me, Read the post again please, those shoes are not mine. They belong to a person whos in the states. Im just posting the pictures for guys who loves collecting basketball shoes to enjoy thats all. Don't have that much money to spend for those..( wish I did..hehe).

Last but not the least, now you guys must be thinking, are these shoes the real thing. Well I tried my best to observe them thru these picture and I think they are the real McCoy. But I'll let you guys be the judge too. :cool:

Nice collection doc. Was going to post up some of my collection, unfortunately was a bit busy the past few days but I want to share you with something I discovered while I was reading thru Nike talk. Now here is a guy who collect basketball shoes too.He doesn't have the most pair that I've seen( There was a guy featured in Slam that had more than a 100 pair in storage) but its the way how he collects it, specially those hard to find versions. But the most amazing thing that I found out about this particular collector....now get this... he is only in the eight grade. Yikes. :boo: ( wonder where he gets all that money to collect all these shoes) Well anyway here are the pictures, hope you guys take time and enjoy them. :cool:

One last thing guys before I go. It's nice to know that other shoe brand has been discuss in this forum aside from Nike and addidas. What I wanted to know is, has any of you guys played in converse ( the models Dwane Wade has been wearing, the one with the icon technology) wonder how they feel? Been planning to get hold on a pair but they never seem to go on sale. Sayang naman if you get a 4 thousand plus shoe and the technology doesn't stand up to your expectation right. Prof K reviewed the weapon but that shoe doesn't have any technology in it, and they are not even selling the laker color way here in Manila that Magic Johnson made famous off. I've also tried also all the Nike technologies. Yung favorite ko pa rin sa lahat ay Air Max since my game mostly involves posting-up. Zoom Air is so unforgiving for me & as Spitzky have said, para kang naglalarong nakapaa. But I've never tried wearing a shoe w/ stacked Zoom Air. I had the LBJ 2 & the Zoom Max cushioning is still fine for me. It's one of my favorite shoes right now & my only problem w/ the shoe is traction. I have to clean the soles whenever I have to play in wooden courts. Regarding Shox, I've never tried one so I'll just leave it to you guys.

 

Outside of Nike Shoes, my favorite one are And1's. I have the KG2 & 2Chi & the heel cushioning is comparable to that of Nikes. Adidas has a tendency to bottom out on me after coming down from a big jump. I'm also thinking of buying old school Avia's right now just for streetballing on the blacktop. Not much technology on it but it got a high rating on Prof K.'s site.

As like all shoe head, I try to gat a feel on all types of brand and technology, but lately its all only been Nike and addidas and some times and1. My favorite is Nike because it offers so many technology for us to choose, I've already tried them all, from your standard air cushioning to air max, zoom air, shox and lately double stack zoom ( although the ones I tried has double stack only on the heel and not the same as the ones you have on your lebron 2 which goes all the way to the fore foot.) But I read some where in Nike talk that the responsiveness on the double stack zoom started out very good but later starts to dissapear, let us know doc how your lebrons hold up.

Regarding Avia, Its a well built shoe for balling. Its one of those shoe to actually have mechanical cushioning technology on the heel. What I mean is the shape of the outsole beneath the heel is shape some how to lessen the impact when experiencing hard landing after taking off for a layup or rebound and it actually springs back to its original shape. Just look at And I, they almost have the same technology but it went even further by adding 2 air pods to regulate pronation which makes the shoe very stable. But all of that was started by Avia. I had a pair back in the early 90's, I forgot which model but if you seen the early stage of the career of Clyde Drexler and Scottie Pippen, they were wearing these white low cut Avia with the clear rubber outsole ( Its not the Avia 830 or 825 that are available in the market here) now these were great basketball shoe. I never experience ankle sprain even when I was playing in them on the aspalt floor. They just really felt good on my feet ( now I was in my early 20's then, I'm not so sure how my feet and knees will feel if play in them now...haha) But if that particular shoe ever get to Manila again. I'm definitely getting one, it's great for chillin too.
