i think its all about the experience. the dim lights, the smell of coffee, the sounds of people conversing over cups of expensive coffee...

some people like this and see it as a way of unwinding. i read before that the coffee place is the new "bar" .. that is instead of goin to a noisy smoky bar, people prefer hanging out in coffee places where they can actually hear each other and converse...

personally, i like coffee places ... i love the smell of coffee and i love talkin over a cup of joe. i also like to read in a coffee place where its comfy and i can relax and be by myself w/o fear of being picked up...i also prefer waiting for people in a coffee place because there's always people watching if im left w/o anything to do...

i like the amaretto latte in starbucks, the breve in seattle's best, the english breakfast tea latte in coffee bean and tea leaf, the hot chocolate in gloria jeans... and the list goes on...

i think the coffee shop has become part of our society and its here to stay

i said to myself so many times in the months that i could not reach out to you.. that i will never let you have that power over me again. that henceforth, whatever happens, whether you come back or not... id be my own person.

and i knew for a bit, i was successful.

but a thirty minute talk, several messages, and im yours again.

i want me back! but... you have claimed me again... and i am once again, powerless.

after me times three i ended up reading the devil wears prada.

fun and funny read -- tells about the travails of a fresh graduate working as an assistant to a high powered magazine editor.

i could identify with this book cause iv had my share of bosses from hell too

bfast/lunch -- toast and asparagus/mushroom omelette

dinner -- stir fried veggies left over from... tuesday?

i like the hole in the wall chinese restos in binondo -- delicious, tasty, manosa, sincerity, etc etc... authentic! at affordable.

for "mainstream" chinese cuisine, theres always hap/haf chan/chang, theres super bowl and big buddha, north park, leching and gloria maris...

i like chinese fried rice of various kinds, sweet and sour pork, steamed fish and dimsum

initially books... as in i have lots and lots of books and i continue to get more and more books til now i love to read.

then when starbucks opened ... i bought one commuter tumbler to use at work... somehow people began to think i was into the tumbler thingies to collect and they began giving me those tumblers for birthdays/christmases or what-not.

to date, i have around 12 of those mugs... and the funny thing is i dont use them anymore. my favorite though is a "valentine" tumbler i got that my friend based in dubai sent me. i dont know where he got it but its really pretty...

bigla ko naman na miss ang suckao ng max brenner... i like the milk chocolate bits that you melt in warmed milk and sip like hot cocoa. tapos yun left over chocolate you nibble... hayy!! decadent pleasure.

LC -- when i was in Sing and Thailand KFC sustained me when i couldnt eat local food. wala nga lang gravy but the hot & spicy ketchup aint bad...

but weve both been scarred
