Try to talk to either a close friend or better, a professional(therapist/std experts) which can help you navigate this new reality of yours sir. It's not yet the end of the world for you.. hsv can be managed.

Answering on his behalf since I've gone to the same doctor before. The consult costs around 1.5k, while the meds would likely costs you around 3k+ for all the antibiotics, all in all prepare roughly 5k. Assumption that you're not getting the hpv shot + pep.

Just my personal list: 1. Consider your risk appetite - what are the experiences you're after and the risk associated with those acts. Think carefully of the tradeoffs for each of the acts you want to engage in. E.g. eating out a thera? Potential for throat infection via gono/chlamydia.. your gums are bleeding/mouth sores at the time of the act? Added bonus of potential hiv infection.(small chance) 2. Partner/Thera - make sure your target thera/partner is not a walking infection.. often you have no idea of verifying this for your first encounter so best to rubber up. Once they become your regular and are on good terms try to get them and yourself tested regularly while still praticing safer sex.(depends how much you trust them) 3. Hygiene.. make sure you and your target partner/thera practice good hygiene. 4. Prep - consider taking prep after having consulted with your physician regarding your sexual habits. 5. PEP - either for hiv or bacterial or both. E.g. Antiretroviral for hiv or bacterial(doxy pep) - pls consult with your physician. 6. Test - get tested regularly.. I myself get tested every 2-3 months.. sometimes more often depending on how active I am.

Try to ask for doxy-pep as well, since we have the same addiction he ended up prescribing some for me for future emergency use so I don't have to keep coming back.
