Been using my P1i for over a month. Since I'm a Nokia user, it took a little bit of learning. Gud thing I consider myself to be a fast learner. My only complaint is I won't be able to text while driving/walking. Other than that, so fas so good. Have downloaded loads of apps/themes/games from torrents. Hassle lang trying all of them then uninstall pag di mo nagustuhan. Have installed a combination of over a hundred apps and games na. Unfortunately, my favorite is Chess.

Guys, pa-share naman what softwares you found interesting/useful. Anybody need something, just PM me your email and I'll forward what I've downloaded to you. Please be specific kasi medyo marami. Did not bother to try them all, just be careful on your part when installing. No guarantees.

PS: I'm looking for any apps for bluejacking. Anybody have some experience in this field?

Guys, have any of you been to Vmall? Was planning to drop by last Sunday but my schedule won't permit it. My objective is to try and get me an EX set. News is a set of 40 EX cards is priced at 1,200 (no RCs). Can anyone verify the pricing? Mighty expensive IMHO...

i admire the effort you guys are doing, grabe as much as i wanna get back at collecting. the sting of that experience kse was heavy on us.

 

ganito kse un, if im not mistaken ang name ng store ata was "cats" dont know if i spell it right, sobrang kilala ng bro ko ung may ari and ako naman mga sales ladies. they even have an outlet sa greenhills dati.

 

nung time na sbrang sikat jordan cards,penny, etc etc sa sobrang gusto namin ng bro ko makakuha nung mga magagandang cards for personal collection lang talaga. we weigh our options kse sure na dami ordinary cards na baka hindi namin ma dispose. pero for the fun of it na makakuha ng really good cards we bought 4 box if im not mistaken fleer or tops ata.

 

so when we open it, patagal ng patagal kme nagbubukas we were dismay about what we were getting. ika nga we get only 2 of the promise 4 o none of the promise 1 etc etc. to the point we got wiser kse napansin nga namin those that wasnt sealed properly we didnt open it anymore at nung pinapalit namin pinalitan naman. s@%t sila!

 

we only got 60% of the promise amount of good cards, iba pare parehas pa na sikat na players pero hindi ganun kataas ang value. we have to sell bagsak presyo ng ordinary cards meaning at a range of 5 pesos to 40 pesos (superstar) may kasama pang iba cards of their liking basta ok sa amin.

 

my bro reklamo sya sa may ari at sinabi lang na ganun talaga daw ang boxes, kahit daw sila ganyan for their retail. what the f#&k! so after that incident we close the albums we have and say its "done"

Sir, I'm sorry to hear about your experience. Ganun talaga negosyo. There are some shops that put profit above all else. It takes one rotten egg to ruin your hobby, but that doesn't mean there aren't any honest shops around na. Maybe you can give the hobby another chance, sir. Daan po kayo Vmall. Maybe just by browsing, you can bring back the memories and thrill of collecting...

Actually, it really doesn't matter how or what you call it as long as the members are true to the objective and essence of the program. For me, any name would do.

I like Sir Clydedrexler's idea of 'some kind of a "revival" meeting of sorts that we can do in the next months or so would really help others'. I hope this does push through with enough participants. Maybe we can take an initial roll call on how many active collectors are currently in tis MTC thread?

Just wanted to share what I got last week -- Topps Red Turkey headache.

Sir Vertu, nagbukas kayo 2 cases, right? Well, I wasn't able to form ONE set out of those 2 cases. Pinagtyagaan ko na yung Red parallels and I'm still short of 3 cards! It was no joke going thru the boxes at Vmall. Our necks were getting stiff already. Not unlike UD, the most it takes to have a set is 3 boxes. Either way, it was fun and I enjoyed the experience. Sayang, it would have been nice to brag that I may be the only one to have a set of Red Turkey in Manila, but that is not to be.

Any idea what and when the next release is?

Vertu and I are posting pictures of the stuff we opened because we want to encourage newbies to collect and the old-timers to start collecting again.. Its not really a mission, but we want to bring back the FUN in cardboard collecting which is actually the essence of the cardboard industry..

That sure is one big task, nevertheless, I would support your cause very much. I guess one of my observations is that the venue for card traders nowadays are very limited. Its probably down to Robinsons Galeria and Vmall. I missed the days when each day of the week has its won gatherings in different places (Ever Gotesco,SM South,SM North Edsa....even Cash N Carry). You can take your pick. Nowadays, its Saturdays only. Too bad for me I have work on that day. Best I do is to text my buy orders to my friends who are there. If only someone would organize a forum for us card collectors (hobby and business-minded alike), I'm sure we can all learn to live and have fun together. Too bad we can't have any sub-forums here huh.

Makikisingit lang po. I don't think we'll see a resurgence in the card collection hobby anytime soon. The issue here is the price of the packs. High price equals to no buyers. No buyers equals no cards. If you have no cards, you won't even have any RCs or inserts. As of now, 90% if not all of the inserts, RCs, and what-have-you's all come from one source. I can't fathom the the day when he/they stop opening packs. It will sure be the death of card collecting here in Manila. Imagine, the only place where you can get the cards you want is either to trade or purchase it from overseas. I miss the days when Topps Finest packs go for 100pesos only and Fleer is 40pesos. (Yes,yes, I'm that old). Well, I guess we can owe it all to inflation and depreciation. Whatever factors there may be, it sure is not the lack of interest from hobbyists. Right now I only contend myself from picking up the thrash (thrash cards) of these Bosses. At least, walang makikiagaw. If someone is interested in RCs from this year's batch, I got a whole load of 'em..and I'm happy with what I have.

It's been 4 months plus since the last post here. Either PLDT has better service or people have just gotten tired of complaining. Any latest opinions or experiences with PLDT DSL? Cuz I'm about to apply for it. I have a landline and with the current packages from the telcos, this is my most economical option. My area doesn't have ZPDEE.

PLDT has come up with a new promo a couple of weeks back. Its the NXGN plan 888. Its a DSL service at 88kbps according to their customer support. The price is inclusive of the bill you pay for your monthly PLDT bill. I just want to check whether any of you has been subscribing to this service and how is the performance? Mukhang sulit po on paper since you will be adding only 200pesos on top of your phone bill dues to have broadband. Any feedback regarding this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hello, nice to see the hobby is thriving here. Have been into bball cards starting 1995 but had to stop a few years back. I still visit the shops and buy a little here and there. Mostly, I'm just into collecting sets. There are a lot of thrash cards for sale out there and it just fulfills me to be able to make a set at the least possible amount. At least la rin ako kahati sa mga runners ng inserts. I'm satisfied with this version in the hobby. If there are other SET collectors out there, please PM me and maybe we can swap cards. :cool:

Sure no problem. I'm getting it this friday so I'll probably start using it as soon as my hydroxy stock is used up.

 

Question- night is pretty much day to me(because of work) and day is night. I go to the gym after work which is around 7:30am. I take my celltech after the workout as well as hydroxy because I get something to eat before I head home.

 

Is it ok to take them both at the same time(have been doing so for quite some time)? Also, If I substitute hot rox for hyrdoxy, it says you have to take 2 in the morning and another 2 6 hours later so it means I will take it in the evening and 6 hours after that. Tama ba?

Sir, I'm not sure about the effects of taking fat-burner and creatine at the same time. Mas mabuti wag na lang to prevent any possible side effects. Kumbaga, lean to the practical side na lang. If you want, you can take the fat-burner an hour in advance.

As for the sked of pills, I think tama lang yung sked seeing that you have an opposite work/time table. But please check dosage, mukhang matapang Hotrox, I doubt you need to take 2 caps each time. Yung Hydroxy tama lang yung tig 2.

Mukhang okay yung mga reviews and ads ng Hotrox ah, can't wait for your feedback....
