  1. Sino ang proud owner ng Samsung Galaxy W? OK ba sya? Battery life?

Ok naman yung Galaxy W. Been using that model since November last year. Hehe).

  2. Hachiko Monogatari

It's an old Japanese movie made in 1987 about the love and dedication displayed by an Akita Inu dog named Hachiko to his master, a university professor, even after the professor died. This movie was remade for American audiences in 2009 starring Richard Gere (Hachiko: A Dog's Tale). It was released straight to DVD so only a few people know about this movie. It's based on a real story about a dog in pre-World War II Japan named Hachiko.

Sobrang heartwarming and heartbreaking nitong movie na ito. I highly recommend it. Maghanda lang kayo ng maraming tissue. Warning ito sa mga pusong mamon... siguradong hahagulgol kayo sa iyak. :(

  3. Nice conspiracy theory-ish plot, excellent playability, and great graphics. Ilang beses ko na rin inulit-ulit ito. Minsan lang parang bumabagal yung frame rates ko kahit na sobra-sobra pa yung specs ng PC ko sa recommended system requirements. Siguro dahil pirated. Hehe

  4. I have an Acer Aspire 4745G, very happy with it (it cost less than 40K). Core i3-370M, 4GB DDR3 and 1GB mid-range ATI Radeon 4650 dedicated GPU. Ok naman performance sa mga less system demanding games like Halo 2, Company of Heroes, StarCraft 2, etc. I used to own an Acer Travelmate which i sold to an officemate after 2 years of problem-free use.

Made an error on the GPU spec, it's a Mobility Radeon 5650 not a "4650"

    Full spec:

CPU: Core i3-370M; 2.4GHz (Dual Core; 2 threads per core)

    Memory: 4GB DD3 (upgraded from 2GB)

GPU: ATI Mobility Radeon 5650/1GB dedicated DDR3 (DX 11) and Intel GMA HD/125MB (DX 10); switchable

    HHD: 500GB

    USB: 4 slots

    Card Reader: multi-in-one

    HDMI: 1 slot

    Ethernet: Gigabit

    Webcam: 1.3MP

    Optical Drive; Mutli-Layer DVD-RW

    Wifi: b/g/n

    Bluetooth: 2.1+EDR

It didn't come with Windows 7 OS to keep the price down. Mine came with Linux which i quicky removed and replaced with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.

  5. Logitech M305 wireless optical mouse

It's cheap (a little over 1K), portable, good ergonomics (the rubber grips works wonders), only uses one AA battery, works on clear glass, and sturdy.

Highly recommended to anyone looking for cheap and small wireless mouse from a well known brand.

  6. I consider these my all time favorite classic games:

    - FreeSpace 2

    - MechWarrior Mercenaries 2

    - Final Fantasy VII

    - StarCraft 1

    - Halo

    - Dune 2 (the grand daddy of modern RTS!)

  7. After wanting one when it was first announced, i changed my mind.

Why? I spent a day with one (borrowed from a friend) and there are just some things i can't do with it that i can do with a laptop or netbook; it can't multitask, can't handle flash, i can't fiddle with its internals or OS settings, and speed-typing on it without any form of external keyboard was a frustrating task (after 30 minutes of typing a word document i felt like gnawing my fingers off!). The interface was zippy and responsive though just like my IPod. And there lay the problem...it's just a glorified and oversized IPOD/IPhone, there's nothing innovative about it (my two cents). I think i'll stick with using laptops and netbooks where i can actually perform computer-centric tasks.

  8. which one is more costly, buying a desktop as a whole or chop chop parts? what's the pros and cons between the two? It's just because im Philippine bound in a few weeks and I need a computer for my job and also games, like starcraft 2. hehe. thanks!! :)

    It really depends.

If you're a DIY guy like me who enjoy the thrill of putting together your own rig then i suggest you buy your PC components piece by piece. The only downside to it (in my opinion) is i only get the warranties of each individual component and not the PC as a whole as opposed to an off-the-shelf, pre-built and branded rig. Some companies do offer extended warranties though. The great part about putting together your own rig is that YOU control what you put in your system. If you know what you need and if you canvas parts before you buy, it may be a lot cheaper than buying a pre-built rig. If you do buy pre-built rigs from well known manufacturers like Alienware, Dell, Asus, etc. you also pay extra for the brand. (Don't buy those unbranded 25K rigs, they usually contain cheap parts...read: not good for gaming).
