  1. you can do a windows reinstall/upgrade if it is a xp ( boot from a windows xp installation ) boot install it will have a option to reinstall a new xp i said again dont reformat !!!

yun nga lang mawawala lahat ng installation mo .. at kung meron kang files sa my documents forget about it ( sigurado madedelete ) pero nasa root drive C:\ intact pa rin sigurado

  2. I took my desktop to a repair shop and they said I needed to replace my power supply and re-install my Win XP. The shop replaced my power supply and also installed a new Win XP. My problem now is that my download speed is waaaay slow. Before the repair, when I download in Rapidshare, the average speed was around 30-40 kb/s. Afterwards, the speed was down to about 8-10 kb/s. What took 1hr to download before now takes 5-6 hrs. I called PLDT and they said there was no problem with the connection in my area (Las Pinas).

Any suggestions on what could be causing this problem?

power supply does not affect os anyway i guess your new os is downloading the updates same time with your rapidshare or either you installed a anti virus checking your traffic

  3. hello.

my pc experienced a boot failure. so i brought it at PC EXpress. was told na me tama na yung isang hard drive. unfortunately, that is where i installed my OS. my 2nd hard drive contains my data. fortunately naka backup naman to an external drive so the technician asked permission to reformat the affected drive and install a trial OS XP since i didnt' bring mine.

apparently, i can't remove the trial OS in drive c. i ended up installing my Home XP at drive d. so whenever i boot up, i was given a prompt to select the OS system kasi dalawa sila. the trial xp was a professional edition. siempre, i chose my Home XP.

    QUESTION po:

    1. how do i remove the trial version? i tried to format it but it won't. tried to format both drives then will reinstall my XP OS to no avail.

    2. how do i make a faster boot up? everytime i open my pc, it counts 30 secs. even if i press enter, it won't start until the seconds are down to zero.

    tnx for the advice!

it's weird the format thingy should have fixed the dual boot system

    anyway

you can right click "My Computer" Icon "Properties" Click the Adavanced Tab Page, click "Settings" under "Startup and Recovery"

Set your "Default operating system" as Home XP and unclick "Time to Dosplay list of operating systems" :D

    thanks

  5. usually issues with power are caused by failure of the following parts > mobo, battery or the charger. if you replaced the charger or the battery, and its still the same, you'll need to replace the motherboard, which is kinda expensive..

in your case... seems that you computer might be giving off a blue screen that you can't see because its set to automatically restart if there is system failure. you'd probably want to run some diagnostics. and accessing them depends on your laptops model. for a dell computer, you usually press f12 upon booting the computer.

otherwise try to access your computer's BIOS or CMOS, check if it continuously startup/shutdown from there.. let us know...

F8 sa ibang pc, DEL button sa COMPAQ

  6. hello po.. how would u know if meron pong spyware na nakakabit sa laptop?

bakit po pag nag DL po ako then nag reboot po ako bigla ho nawala yung na DL ko po... na save ko naman po... meron po bang software na kahit anong virus pumunta sa pc pag nag reboot mawawala po? pls help... TIA....

just maybe the file you downloaded is infected with virus and your anti-virus quarantined or deleted it ( depends on how you configured your anti virus or what your anti-virus is )
