I discourage extensive use of eurail pass. Its cheaper to fly on budjet airlines. (german wings is the cheapest I think) The difficulty with eurail pass is that there are only 2-3 cabins per car alloted to eurail users. More often than not you'd find yourself standing when traveling by rail. If in case you need to use rail opt for the "regionale" trains. there are 3 classes of trains: Euro, Regional and Intercity. If there is an available cross country "regional" train use it. To save on hotels travel at night and use the train as your bed.

Read ahead. There a lot of hostels there in Europe for Filipinos that are not advertised... they don't have signs and can only be booked in the Phils (to avoid paying taxes). They look like apartments pero hostel pala sila. Rates are Philippine rates for the stay and the staff are Filipino. It just makes everything easier. If you don't know how to find these places ask your priests... sila ang may mga connections sa ganitong places.

If you want that european experience with a Philippine sized budget I suggest Czech Republic. Be careful though, capital ng pick pocketing itong lugar na ito. Dont put all your eggs in one basket. Everything here is priced like it is sa Pinas and the beer is super sarap.

How should I say it. Its price is just right. Place is kinda cramped and finding a spot to eat is a matter of luck. This place is always full and all those cars parked outside wait an hour just to be seated. There is a reason why people subject themselves to that torture (filipinos madaling mainip) ... the food is worth it. You could get a carbonara meal good for 2 people at 150 Php that is good enough to be served at any of the top hotels here in manila. Specialty nila are the cakes.. balita ko US trained yung may ari ito and they serve pastas and pastries... killer din yung tapsilog nila na supersized meal hehehe.

I went to bora alone ... Had a great time kahit solo flight. PLan ahead what you want to do. Never a dull moment here if you know where to go.

For someone na nagtitipid mas mura pa rin mag fly to boracay than Use Roro. Dami hidden expenses nun like food and other stuff. Saka you'll lose out one day just by traveling. Kung di ka maarte meron naman jan sa likod ng beach front houses na 1 k lang per day.

yeah I have a friend who has the same theory on beers. Sabi nya its all about the weather. I Agree with him.. San Mig is the perfect beer dito sa pinas because it fits our weather. No wonder most filipinos also like the lightbodied corona beer also. Dark and strong beers bagay na bagay sa chill ng Germany or eastern Europe. American Beers have a mized flavor na bagay sa mixed temperature sa kanila.

Would just like to share some tips from backpackers... If you are living on a tight budget especially kapag trip mo mag backpack. If you dont have any money to buy anything else to eat just drink beer... Its a complete meal in itself... marami sya energy (sugar), partly analgesic (pampaalis ng pagod), and most of all tulog ka agad. I tried it myself and I was able to sustain myself for a day on beer only. Dont try for an extended period of time.. pang emergency lang yan.

i know a girl who drinks her beer with regular coke. it's not like a one-off. she does it all the time.

try living in the US. they show wowowee 3 times a day sa TFC. grabe ito. it runs for 3 hours so bale 9 hours of the day wowowee ang palabas. early in the morning lunctime and primetime.... the only times na nasa bahay ka shet puro wowoweee palabas .... Igiling giling ... giling giling... oh sshet i wanna hit my head sa wall if i hear that song again.
