masyado ka naman atang martyr...hehehe...pero sa bagay ganyan din ako noon. apt mate ko dati eh kasama ko rin sa firm, meron ung isang linggo during busy season na d kami nagkita! tapos gigimik man ako, mga kagimik ko eh ung mga kasama ko rin sa work...palibhasa kami lang pareho ng mga schedules...

 

gotta love private...pinauwi na kami ng boss ko ng 4 pm...palibhasa we had to work through lunch kanina, na-guilty sya...tapos we need to get enough rest this wknd kase simula na ng quarter-close next wk...hay...

Tell me about working while having lunch. I do that very often. Minsan di na ako nasisikatan ng araw. Alis ako ng haus, madilim pa, uwi ako madilim na.

On the other hand I still find some enJHOYment din naman in what I'm doing lalo pag kalog din ang kaharap mo. I get to meet lots of peeps from creepy to masungit, from masayahin to deadma. hehehe. Guess para narin tayong nasa marketing niyan.

Tutuo yan pare.. tawag sa tin mga kontrabida.. hehehe

 

Pero pag kaibigan ko, di ko na nirereport.. I would just ask my friend to fix it before others might find out and just warn him/her na wala ng next time.

 

Tungkol naman jan sa male symbol mo jan sa gilid.. honestly pare, di ko na napansin.. eh pangalan mo Jhoy tapos avatar mo babae.. baka kako ginawa mo lang lalake ang gender mo (ginawa ko rin kse yan dati) para walang mag-PM na sa kin.

 

Quickie.. buti na lang sis inherent na sa tin ang pagiging glamorous no? Bwahahaha! Tigas ng mukha. Alala ko lang nung fresh grad pa ko.. bawat company na mag-apply ako, gusto ilagay ako sa Marketing.. ayoko kako kse hirap naman ng tinapos ko tapos dun lang pala bagsak ko. Ngayon, iniisip ko tuloy.. sana nag-Marketing na lang ako.. andun pala pera.. tayo dami ngang nakikitang pera.. di naman sa tin..

I believe naman na kayo ni HOT BABES ay glamorous and friendly. Kala mo lang madali ang marketing. At this time it's not that easy na rin nor is it a money making career unless gold and oil ang benta mo, sure ball ka diyan. Pero kung tinapa at tinapay, nge hirap din benta. Just want to let you smile.

It really depends on which side of the coin you are na rin. When you're the one being audited, you are on the defensive side. When you're doing the audit, you are on the offensive naman. Somehow, kahit ayaw mo minsan humanap ng mali, nakakakita ka. Kahit ayaw mo minsan makasagasa ng mga taong may maling gawa, you have to coz of you're function and objectivity. I was even put on the spot one time, when my very own friend was the one I was auditing and I sort of found some loopholes. I just didn't know whether to approach him or let my boss do that for me. It's not all the time gratifying. It's not all the time worth keeping. If you get lucky, you're talents are discovered by the client and they try to pirate you. Sometimes, you have to make choices/decisions specially on the personal side. :cry: You lose friendships, family, time and sometimes the love of your life when you are that dedicated to your profession. :cry:

Di ako puwedeng politician. First ala ako Financing for that. Second mahirap kung kaw lang mag-isa na nakikipaglaban ng principio mo at pinagkakaisahan ka. Take a look at what's happening na lang sa present political circus natin. Yung may ginagawa, binabara at nililibing. Yung wala naman ginagawa, walang pumapansin.

Kung tutuusin, wala talagang glamor ang profession natin. Come to think of it, we don't even have a title before our name that identifies us as CPAs unlike Doctors (may DR), Lawyers (may ATTY), Engineers (ENGR). Sa tin kung di natin lagay sa dulo na CPA tayo di pansin.

One thing nice lang is our expertise is broad enough that anywhere from banking to manufacturing to service oriented to trading companies, puwede tayo. Aside from our opportunities to travel for business na may pay di ba?

One thing going din is the way our minds were developed to be analytical and creative na rin. I guess may pros and cons ang profession natin.

Shempre yan naman talaga ang reason jan sis.. pa-effect na lang nila yung kesyo most of their clients are individuals (as what freelicker also indicated).

 

Kaya nga ako, everytime punta ako sa Doctor.. humihingi ako ng resibo. Dapat lahat ng pasyente ganun.. kse di naman talaga nagde-declare ng tamang income ang mga yan eh. Pero in case na may doctor na nagbabasa.. ako kunin nyong accountant.. tuturo ko pano maiwasan magbayad ng VAT.. wehehehe.. sabay ganun eh..

I think their (doctors and lawyers) reason for asking for a vat exemption is due to the fact that they have poor clients kuno.  While as for us CPAs.. mga companies daw kse ang client natin.  I pray though na hindi ma-approve yang bill na yan. 

 

Anyways.. don't fret sis.. sayang na lang ang pagiging doctor natin ha.. why don't you charge it to transportation expense instead? Para walang VAT, wala pang Withholding.. wehehehe.. (ganid ka talaga ginny! )

First of all, I think the agenda for the exemption of Doctors and Lawyers are really because they are afraid of their income:

1. being monitored closely. Under the VAT system, mamomonitor na ang mga income nila na over the years di na declare ng husto.

2. since most of the congress peeps are lawyers and some may be doctors also, then I believe it is self-serving and obvious ang agenda.

3. if they claim that most of their clients are individuals where they would have no use for such VAT, then so are the grocery stores and restaurants that cater to mostly individuals. They are also subject to VAT.

Second, I agree with u that sana wag ma-approve ang bill na to. If and when they are really sincere in helping the poor and underpriveledged then, I hope they first review the very 1st draft in 1997 of the VAT Reform bill where I believe :

1. there were no input tax claims allowed

2. there was a lower rate of tax.

Sorry guys if I drag this topic, but I guess most of us must be aware also of the present tax structure of our economy so that most readers here also would be kept informed. Mods sorry po, but I find this topic related to this thread and would be beneficial to most of us with related fields.

Hello mga kapatid na doctor.. este accountant pala... nakaka-drain ano? Lapit na April 15... yipeee!!! Matatapos na hirap ko.. wala nga pala katapusan to

 

Honestly, gusto ko na lang talaga maging consultant. Kaso eto namang kliyente ko na kinuha akong consultant.. ganun pa rin.. dirty work of accounting pa rin.. :cry:

Correct ka diyan @ginny, doctor din tayo. Doctor ng mga libro. hehehe But why is it that Doctors and Lawyers are being given that privilege of not being subject to VAT (Value Added Tax) under the proposed bill in Congress right now? What makes them sacred cows, while we CPAs at that are sacred guinea pigs left subjected to VAT? What a discriminating society we have.

Sorry folks just voicing out my frustration. I would have gotten a raise last year if not for this thing called VAT.

Sadly, like I mentioned earlier, there are things that separate ideals from reality. Even in our political system, ethics seem to be a big make up kit only. Sorry if I offend anyone regarding my statement. IMHO.

The bottom line is still what we take home......
