Good evening OB-GYNE Doctors,

 

I would like to ask if Nordette, taken as an ECP causes disruption on a woman's menstrual cycle. Below are the details:

 

• Date of 1st period: April 14
• Date of the previous 1st period: March 13
• We had contact and condom broke last April 28
• Took 4 tablets of Nordette (after 2 hours when condom broke) and took another 4 tablets after 13 hours
• She experienced Nausea and she was able to resist vomiting
• Took 1st HPT last May 15 and indicates "negative"
• Took 2nd HPT today and it indicates "invalid"
• Will take 3rd HPT tomorrow morning again...

Until now her period is delayed..Could she be pregnant or is it because of Nordette that made a disturbance on her cycle?

 

Need your opinion on this please.

First thing to ask is if you have had a valid exposure in the past. If you never had unprotected vaginal and anal sex, its impossible for you to have gotten HIV.

 

Second in the existence of previous unprotected sex, the only way to determine if you have HIV is through an HIV test.

 

HIV is difficult to transmit from woman to man but highly possible, hence HIV positive people are predominantly homosexuals.

why is it difficult to transmit HIV from woman to man ? are there any medical proof or study pertaining to these. Just curious... TIA !

Good day everyone. I have a problem with my penis and I hope someone can address this:

 

I have itchy penis for 2 months now. And I notice that nagkakaroon na ng dryness at may mga loose skins na (flaky)all over especially on the head of the penis. What I usually did was rub the very itchy part with alcohol on cotton but the itchiness will only go away for a few minutes then babalik na siya.

 

It is very frustrating kasi pag nasa labas ako ng bahay in public bigla na lang siyang nangangati sobra I have to interrupt a lot of conversations just to go to the bathroom to scratch my penis and scrotum.

 

I never had sex with someone for almost 6 months na, although I masturbate a lot. I also change my underwear everyday.

 

Is this yeast infection? Or something else?

 

I hope I can get a reply soon cause it is already very frustrating.

most probably a fungal infection, you can try over the counter anti-fungal meds but you have to apply it religiously for 2 or more weeks. but then again much better to consult a dermatologist to be safe.

goodmorning to all.. i have a question, hope you can help me. i had this discharge i think nung around 0ct 27. hindi siya masakit nor itchy in fact di ko pa malalaman na may discharge ako kung hindi ko nakita sa brief ko ung yellowish spots. hindi visible yung discharge sa penis ko, but when i press it may lumalabas na parang whitish something pero its like a drop lang. so kinabahan ako and decided to go to manila doctors and see a urologist, walang pang 5mins yung consultation the doctor said na may chlamydia daw ako and charge me 1k for that consultation grabe,he didnt even look at my penis to check it. i was shocked and panu niya nalaman without me taking a blood test or urine test. he prescribe me 1g of azithromycin taken as one dose and 28 doxycycline for 2 weeks then sbi niya bumalik daw ako after a week to take a chlamydia test and urine test. may question is to those you had the symptoms as i. chlamydia ba tlga? and bad trip pa dun is i had a unprotected sex with my gf after 4 days of medication, i felt na parang mdyo nawala na ung discharge kaya tinuloy namin ung sex, i didnt tell my gf na my chlamydia ako cause i was afraid.i just fpound out in the internet na it takes a week for chlamydia to be totally clear out in the body. damn! is there a chance nahawa ko gf ko? im panning to have a std test tom. hope someone here can answer me. thanks

merry Christmas MTC ! syempre pag first class na hospital pang first class din ang bayad treatment ng STD is basically the same whether it is from a first class hospital or from your ordinary medical clinic. now is it chlamydia ? you'll have to undergo some testing to be sure but nevertheless the treatment as i've said is still the same. kung nahawa ang GF mo ? puede rin mas maganda ma-test din sya or mas maganda magpaconsult sa OB-GYN para sigurado

mahirap mag diagnose ng hindi na-P.E. but you can have a chest x-ray then tingnan natin ang result. pag negative most probably allergy ang cause(heto ay kung NEGATIVE ang x-ray) but then again mas maganda kung makita ka for exam.

I went to ER the other day for Dizziness. Doctor's ruled out Vertigo. Gave me a prescription for antivert (meclizine 25mg) and it works good. :thumbsupsmiley:

Doc, I just want an advise, I asked mydermatologist about my warts on my area, and sadly yes he told me, but curable naman daw and gave me some medicine to burn it, but nagdalawang isip ako if ever I need to do it by myslef or ill asked specialist to get rid of these annoying warts? baka kasi madisgrasya kung ako mag isa but he gave me medicine and effective. but im just scared baka masunog pati skin

go to another dermatologist and have it remove,usually by electric or battery operated cautery machine.mabilis lang tangalin yan from a few minutes to an hour depende sa dami ng warts. better to be safe than sorry !

i think you must have check up to determine what elements are lack in your body .

first and most important of all don't lick your lips, use lip balm or petroleum jelly (to moisten your lips especially the corner) as often as needed maybe 5 or more times a day.

Wait for the crack to heal completely and minimize opening your mouth (if you can) you can use povidone iodine mouthwash to paint the crack (5 x a day)

if after a week you don't see any improvement please see your ENT-HNS doctor for consult.

i have been suffering from anal discharges. sabi nila, FIA daw po. nagpacheck up po ako sa surgeon at may ipinasok na aparatus sa pwit ko, mga 25 cm daw po yon, pero wala pong nakitang problem. walang medication na ibinigay kaya patuloy parin po ang discharges ko.

lately, may kulay dugo na po ang lumalabas at kapag nakikipagtalik po ako, foreplay palang nararamdaman ko na ang paglabas sa puwit ko ng fluid na kulay dugo.

ano po ba ang dapat kong gawin?
