  1. symbian virus?

It looks like it, my friend's cel has the same problem ever since we used our device's bluetooth connectivity to swap some data. Now her cel too has sporadic instances of not being able to do outgoing SMS or calls while able to receive. What can be done about this, Google? Again thanks in advance for the info.

  2. I have a Nokia E61i and using Globe service provider. I've been using the unit trouble free until a few weeks ago.

The problem is, sporadically, I can receive text messages and voice calls but I can't reply to either text messages nor make a call. Puro incoming but cannot make outgoing messages or calls. Sporadic kasi, kusang na wawala ang problem and its all normal, then all of a sudden no outgoing capability again. I tried turning off the phone to reset it pero no avail, problem persists. Help!

    Thanks in advance.

  4. The Letter of Intent is simply the written form of your intention to purchase the property. Unless there is consideration to go with it, it is normally not a legally enforceable document. Normally, it is the agent's proof to the actual seller that he has an interested buyer for the property. As such, there is not format for this, you can simply state that you are interested in buying the property. As for the authority, you may want to see the Special Power of Attorney authorizing the agent to negotiate the sale. I suggest though that when it is time to register the sale, the actual buyer should sign the Deed of Sale.

Thank you sir for the advice. Have a good day.

  5. I am interested in purchasing property and the contact person on the seller's side requires the buyer to submit a Letter of Intent and Offer. The Letter of Intent is supposed to be addressed to the contact person on the seller's side. The property is titled under the name of somebody else, not this contact person. My questions are:

    1) What is the Letter of Intent for and how should it be formattted? Any legalities I have to be aware of before executing it?

    2) Shouldn't the contact person present some Letter of Authority to Sell the property?

Thanks in advance for your advice dear sirs.

  7. Nun undergrad days ko, I took up Latin as an elective and I was thanking my lucky stars kasi arranged alphabetically ang class seating at na katabi ko isa sa mga campus beauties na naging finalist sa Bb Pilipinas later on.

Nway, the beauty queen eventually dropped the subject after two weeks but I had to finish the course kasi graduating na ako. Putcha, na wala na yun maganda kong katabi, napasubo ako sa hirap. Mid terms was translating Mi Ultimo Adios from Spanish to Latin and worse yun finals was an oral defense in Latin of a position paper - you guessed it, also in Latin.

  8. Whre did you took up your MBA? Which is better? MBA w/ thesis or without thesis?

I saw some programs stating that MBA w/ thesis have about 36 units and some MBA w/out thesis have 60 units. Which is better?

Took my MBA at AGSB (Ateneo Grad Sch of Bus). IMO a thesis program is better, it presents more challenge. A lot of my batchmates completed and passed the academics (units) but couldn't graduate because of non completion of the thesis, thus the notation MBA (cand) short for MBA candidate on their resume.

  9. Initially, wala akong plans to take up a Masteral degree. I was happy with my job and enjoyed what I was doing at work. Then, all my collegemates barkada started enrolling in graduate school for an MBA. Para mabuo lang ang college barkada, I enrolled with them. We were eight guys who enrolled and only I finished with that coveted MBA degree.

Moral of the story? Sometimes your barkada knows whats good for you! I was a non-business major in my undergrad working in a sales job when I took my MBA and the course opened my mind to the world of business, did a lot to my perception, taught me to think strategically, landed me expat perks & postings and made life, well lets just say so much more worth living.

  10. Counted ba ang Professor-Student relationships? I had four such relationships - I was a part time professor then at an exclusive girls college and a young, brash executive with a multinational company, single so legit pero discreet lahat nun relationships. Three of them are now married and live abroad, yun still single, bumped into her at a Charity bazaar about five years ago. Beso-beso and exchanged contact numbers, no attempt to get in touch with each other after the chance meeting. I guess we both have moved on with our lives.

  11. that's my problem din with bdo kaya i didn't invest with their uitf dati. bpi told me the breakdown of their investments kaagad, metrobank/axa told me sa foreign equity naman (since dollar-dominated uitf sya) kaya may trust factor din.

hindi ka din naman mag-iinvest sa isang bagay na hindi mo alam kung saan lang nila ilalagay yung pera mo.

Banks regularly report their respective UTIF's performance which you can access in their websites and fund performance reports (usually quarterly reports) in brochures at the banks branches. Fully disclosed are the asset classes and portfolio mix of each UTIF, including the Fund Manger's discussion of the Fund's strategy for the past reported period and Fund's outlook for the immediate future, historical NAVs, etc.

Not surprised bank personnel not helpful, I've had the same experience - most seem to have a hazy knowledge about this. Pity!
