  1. On April 13, 1982 at London's Royal Albert Hall, in the presence of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth and the Queen Mother, Luciano Pavarotti performed at a Royal Gala Concert, accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Kurt Herbert Adler.

  2. salamat. I really enjoyed maestro pavarotti's rendition. Ngayon ko lang napanood ito but I prefer the female timbre for this piece (cguro dahil frustrated soprano ako hahaha) We lost such a great tenor.

     

    May I recommend American mezzo-soprano Jennifer Larmore. She's an ageless beauty with an equally fabulous voice. Here's a video of Ombra Mai Fu (from Handel's Xerxes):

    And she speaks fluent French to boot. That's so sexy!

    I'd like to share this youtube link that just shows how a simple piece when interpreted by a master becomes a masterpiece. Sa mga nag aral ng music this is a level 1 voice piece. It is given to all freshmen pero I've never heard it sung this well.
