joseph1
I didn't know that A Dance with Dragons was coming out on the 12th already. Books one through four were handed to me by the sales clerk a while back but I just settled for the first installment for now. It seems that ASOIAF isn't as famous as the other series out there. Not even in the top 10 list of the bookstore. it's not as mainstream as say, WoT. i think the more adult theme and writing style make it so. still in my top 5 fantasy series though. Leyna
I just bought myself A Game of Thrones and opened it up soon as I entered my room. I like to read while lying in bed. I just finished reading the Prologue. I wonder if I could finish book one in a week... About the TV series, I'm quite sad that Dany looked laspag in the later episodes. If the guy user above wants to see more of Ros, I did some homework on Shae, the imp's latest whore, and Sibel Kekilli who plays her. Her acting career debuted with the 2004 film "Gegen die Wand" (Head On) which won the Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival. And, oh yeah, it was found out later on that she was formerly a porn actress (!) (I just thought some people here might be interested to know that). Also, to note, I think she looked way hotter prior to her nose job. In the movie Head On - which I do recommend, by the way - her nose looks way better than the current appearance in GoT. And, yes, I root for the Imp, too. He is just brilliant! Imagine riding with the khalasar, you can't stay all pristine and purttty. (How dare you say laspag!) Hahaha. Quote Link to comment
the_passerby5981
Imagine riding with the khalasar, you can't stay all pristine and purttty. (How dare you say laspag!) Hahaha. You imagine that. I'll imagine it the other way around, okay? Well, I tried substituting the "L" word for something else but it was purely visceral that I chose to go with it. Here's something I find hard to swallow. In the book, she's supposed to be in her earliest teens! And her innocence is broken by the Horse Lord? Towering above all his men, the strongest of all and the itty, bitty, frail, beauty who is just beginning to bloom. How he mounts her with brute, primitive instinct (doouble ). And so, madam, could you please propose a much better term than the "L" word? Quote Link to comment
wastedsunshine
http://30.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lmqk30bDz71qzzakco1_400.gif "A thousand voices were screaming, but she never heard them. The crowd roared, and Arya felt the statue of Baelor rock as they surged against it. Her tears streamed down her face, blinding her. And then a hand shot out of the press and closed round her arm like a wolf trap, Arya was wrenched off her feet. “Don’t look!” a thick voice snarled at her. Dimly, as if from far away, she heard a … a noise … a soft sighing sound, as if a million people had let out their breath at once." Quote Link to comment

I never picked it up again. agree completely. in any case, the infidelity theme recurrent in a lot of fantasy series should already be a clue that it's not for young readers. lols. get book 5 dude. it's worth it.
