THUG
Which is one better, a condo unit or a house and lot there are pros and cons between the 2.. condo unit: pros: near your workplace, near just about anywhere in metro manila, low maintainance secured cons: expensive water, expensive association fees, higher risk unnatural living house and Lot: pros: nice environment and community appreciates in value cons: far from metro manila far from workplace high maintenance unsecured so which one will you prefer buying, owning, for use as investment or for personal use? 1 Quote Link to comment
dorothy
i prefer house and lot. it's good for raising kids. aside from that, the market value of lot never depreciates. Quote Link to comment
Google
it will all depend on you. just factor in the cost of paying real estate taxes sa house and lot and the cost of maintenance. factor in mo na din yung cost of parking pag naka condo ka. it will all depend on your lifestyle. but yes, i have to agree na pag may kids ka, better ang H&L. pero kung single living ka lang. much better ang condo, dahil for one, its more nearer from your place of work. gr82d8
I prefer a house and lot with a garden. Kahit magisa lang ako, bibili na lang ako ng pitbull. I'll make a small pond with koi. Maliit lang yung house para madali linisin. After coming home from work, kuha ako ng lounge chair, sit beside the pond, drink some beer at pat my dogs head. Gawa rin ako ng bar sa labas ng bahay para pag may inuman. Kung manalo ako sa lotto yun ang gagawin ko. hehehe Quote Link to comment

Sir Galahad®
House and Lot, even if you manage to buy the unit, given 20 or so years the building could be condemned/demolished.... As for the house and lot, well as they say, everybody needs a piece of land Quote Link to comment

tsuchiya
If you are looking at long term investment, the kind that even your apo will be able to inherit, house & lot. condominiums or buildings have life spans, after an X amount of years (usually between 50 to 100 years) the building will be condemned, the tenants will then decide what to do with the land, most of the time it gets sold and the tenants (or their descendants) divide the proceeds. trivia: did you know that most of the land in Ayala are just long-term leases from the Ayala congolerate. they never sold any piece of land in there, meaning they will always own the whole area. Aquaenigma
house and lot.no matter how small or simple it might be..as long as its mineaside from mas tumataas ang value ng lupa habang tumatagalno more association dues unlike in the condo..maybe meron village dues but maybe much cheaperpansin ko din kasi kapag sa condowalang pakialamanan ang mga magkakapitbahay.. kakaiba ang environmentiba pa rin yun mga lupa kang nilalakaran.. kesa puro bintana at pader lang ang nakikita mo at yun ibang bldg sa palagid mo..parang nakakasakalthen kapag nagkasunog at lumindol sa bldg...mangyari man yun sa bahay mo.. may lupa ka pa rin pwedeng patayuan ulit ng bahay..mas mura yun kesa magpatayo ka ulit ng building diba?
