any resort here na wid room for day rate only? tnx

I suggest you try Ocean View Beach Resort- its outside the Freeport though but pretty decent naman and more practical.

was in subic just last weekend so here goes..

the prime hotel there is the subic bay yacht club @ $90 per night..even if its members only, just slip the front desk a few $ then you're good to go

there are also several hotels in the waterfront area (which rocks now just like baywalk and boracay with gerry's grill, pier 1, casino, etc) from $40 to $100 per night

-vista marina
-subic park hotel

there's also the camayan beach hotel beside ocean adventure oceanarium

the best place there now though is the anvaya cove beach and golf club..members only though (pm me for membership and properties for sale)

or check out www.subicbay.com.ph for complete info

QUOTE (jbcast86 @ Apr 22 2008, 11:54 PM)
grande island . . . mabato yung beach nila, concrete boulders ha, hindi yung shell or corals, tapos daming nakasingit na mga basura, di nila nililinis... nakakadiri tuloy maligo, they only have one resto, chinese dishes lang ang specialty.. 40 pesos or 55 ata ang isang softdrinks nila 8 oz ha (so imagine how much ang isang order ng dishes nila)

they have atv at 400 per hr ata, they also have swimming pool, check in time is strictly 2:00 pm.\

if you stay at house no 40 + lakad ka to restaurant, ang dilim pa pag gabi.....

in general we did not enjoy our stay there, we booked for two nights, 6 pm pa lang (ng first nights namin) nag paparefund na kami ng 2nd nights namin, di daw pwede, so we are forced to consumed our bookings

Hmmmm, I'll inform Mr. Thomas Lee about this.

You know Mr. Thomas Lee personally?
You work in Subic in any way.

Hmmmm, I'll inform Mr. Thomas Lee about this.

hello madam,

Who is Mr Thomas Lee? is he the owner?

Actually i have other comments pa sana... constructive comments actually, sayang kasi yung place maganda pa naman, tapos highly acessible pa with the opening of SCTEX.

Maganda yung concept nila sa resort, kanya lang daming kulang, especially yung maintenance nila, tapos sa gabi ang dilim ng surroundings nila, (ang hirap talaga ng engineer daning nakikita hehehehe)...

anyway, given the chance, i can make some suggestion to Mr. Lee, nakapanghihinayang yung place...

its a nice place to hang out and unwind, but then generally, pangit ang dagat sa olongapo.
we enjoyed more and pool than the beach :)

Twice na ko nakapunta dito, overrated.

If you've been to Subic for almost 3yrs? ANY resort there is overrated... hehehe

You'd rather look for something with a nice pool than take a dip in the seawater :thumbsdownsmiley:

if you're eating the food at the resorts in subic, you should be ashamed..

there's plenty of good restaurants in the "downtown" and even the outskirts of subic.

i remember when we went nung bata ako (early 90s) and royal subic hotel charged 100 pesos for a "room service burger" that looked suspiciously exactly like the wimpy burger we had the next morning at wimpy's for 20 pesos.

never going back to this place, quite pricey. nung naligo ako sa beach, nagka pantal pantal ako sa dibdib (less than 5mins in the water), and with matching garbage floating around you while enjoying the not so clear waters of subic :upside:

pero cool yung isang pool attraction nila dito, slide and a large basin-like drain sa dulo ng slide..haven't tried it though. pero yung mga nakikita ko kung ano-anong pwesto yung pagbaksag nila sa water, hindi nila macontrol :upside:
