kreestian
mas bihasa ako sa ingles. sa pagsulat ng mga liham, palitan ng talastasan sa trabaho at pagpapalitan ng kuro kuro sa e-mail magmula pa ng akoý isang estudyante pa lamang, mas bihasa na ako sa ingles pagdating sa pagkatha ng mga liham at mga pag gawa ng mga takdang aralin. For everyday conversation, its Tagalog of course! Quote Link to comment
Barenaked-NoMre
English for me ... coz I grew up abroad. I was lucky to have passed my Filipino classes in college! The teacher knew and saw/heard I tried! ;-) Quote Link to comment

CodenameV
English.the only way i survived in Filipino classes was to memorize words without really understanding them. to this day, i can read an entire newspaper in 5 minutes but struggle with a Tagalog tabloid because of my poor comprehension with our native tongue. skizzy
english. i hated filipino, mostly the way it's taught. siguro pwedeng "philppine literature" na lang, instead of teaching you the proper way of speaking tagalog. tayutay? panghalip? pangngalan? o tapos? did you ever say in a tagalog conversion that the word you just said is a "pang-uri". ewan... hottlipss
English...I was not able to take Filipino classes since I left PI when I was 3rd grade. But I'm so eager to learn everything about the Philippines. I'm trying to improve my Tagalog so I write in Tagalog as much as I can kahit mali mali ang spelling. Thanks to hubby for constantly correcting my Tagalog-pronounciation and all, TFC-for the latest swardspeak, and MTC and PEX for the green words I would never find in the dictionary...ngayon lumalawak lalo ang aking Tagalog. But don't ask me to read anything in Tagalog aloud...I sound like carabao barok daw. I have trouble when spelling words with ng, y, and w. Edited July 13, 2006 by hottlipss Quote Link to comment

kuto_and_friends

Lord Superb
ever since i started schooling at the age of seven, i knew that i have the affinity for language, particulary the English language. this does not mean, though, that i am conversant in english; rather, my gift is in writing. in my spare time i write essays, film reviews, short stories and others. recently, i tried my hands in writing a novel, a feat that i would like to accomplish soon. the tagalog subjects i had at school just didn't interest me, partly because the language itself is not that complex to master, and partly because i was influenced by my mother who was an english teacher in a computer college. Lord Superb
besides, it is more challenging and rewarding to learn a skill that you are not used to. i was raised to speak tagalog; therefore, the challenge was to master another language, without losing my filipino heritage. Quote Link to comment
