I'd guess it's too young to be really drinkable right now, especially knowing what the 2005 cabs from Napa Valley were like. Give it a couple of years to round out the tannins and lose theo rough edges. It's a $11 wine here, at least on-line. Maybe less at Cost Plus, but I'd have to go down there to take a look.

Lots of code words for "keep this for a couple of years. It should get better." The 2003 is $16 - I wonder what the 2004 is selling for. Not a lot of real reviews, but it's a merlot blend...............sounds like a daily drinker kind of wine

Wait a year or two. It should get better. $15 at retail here.

Sounds like it's drinkable but hasn't yet hit its peak. This guy liked it - http://www.grapescott.com/?p=95

$20 retail

I have had very limited experience with Artesa but the wines I've tasted have been decent to good. Not very good - but I haven't tasted all of them, and as you all well know, taste is subjective. I may hate what you like and like what you hate!

I will attempt to find a bottle of one of these and taste it this weekend. Another good excuse to buy a bottle of wine. "Honest, honey, it's research!" ;)

Groth is one my favorites, and the 2004 is nice, if a bit (okay, VERY) young. Don't know much about the others, but there are so many wineries, I could go to a new one everyday for several years and not run out of new places to go!

Pareng Storm and Pareng Eagleyes - thanks for dinner and coffee last night! Great meeting you, Eagleyes - finally! And we only live 40 minutes away in California!

No wine last night - but good crab for dinner and good coffee afterwards.

Am at the airport lounge right now waiting for my plane....

See you guys again next time! REgards to Mrs. Storm also, and thanks also from Mrs. Agxo.

hi guys, pwx had been importing these wines for over a year now ;) . consolidated staglin family vineyards & saintsbury, too bad they no longer carry deloach - russian valley wines. they also have some entry level wines but i don't know the reputation, just the price - some don sebastiani & pepperwoods.
