X
No0/0=0 Wrong. It's still undefined/infinity. But if you want to be profound, Zero Divided by Zero is ALSO equal to ONE. Infinity = One / Zero, so Zero X Infinity = One yet, One = Zero / Zero substituting, for Infinity and one One / Zero = Zero / Zero Infinity = Infinity. This is the condition in a singularity, when One is None, and nothing is everything. Quote Link to comment
encounter_doc
Ito probability problem. There are 1000 items in a room, 2 of which are broken. A person is asked to get 22 items from the room at random. What is the probability that he'll get the two defective items? I'm a bit rusty in math already, and it's been a while since I helped UPLB won the inter-university statistics quiz contest  , but I'll give it a try answer is A/ B where A = number of possible combinations of 22 items containing the the 2 defectives and B = total number of combinations of 22 items taken from a population of 1000 items A = 22 C 2= 22! / (20! 2!)= 231 B = 1000 C 22= 1000! / (978! 22!)= 7.0499263813810362408968119672155e+44 Answer = 231 / 7.0499263813810362408968119672155e+44= 3.2766299604216370946911125803076e-43 In other words, the chance of hooking up with a viva hot babe and then having a steamy night later on with her is higher than the above scenario Quote Link to comment
jhun29
Wow, saya ng thread na to a. For Math majors and math lovers. Ako personally, as a math major, mahal ko talaga math. Saya ng Kakuro at Sudoku puzzles e. Eto na lang, share ko sa inyo, nakakatawang proof na 1=2. Assume a = bThen a(a - b ) = b(a - b ) a^2 - ab = b(a - b ) a^2 - b^2 = b(a - b ) (a - b )(a + b ) = b(a - b ) (a + b ) = b 2b = b 2 = 1 Luma na yan e. Nakakatawa lang isipin. Hahahaha. Try nyong hanapin yung mali kung nasaan. I believe this will be the wrong expressiona^2 - b^2 = b(a - b ) 'coz if you will change the value of a=b you should have an expression of b^2 - b^2=b ( b - b ) and the result will be 0 = 0 what do you think? extrarice3
Jake entered a cockpit house thrice. The cockpit house has an entrance fee of P20 and everytime Jake enters, he gambles all his money and always win triple. Also, he gives P10 peso tip to the referee everytime he wins. He has now zero (0) pesos (after leaving the cockpit). How much money does Jake initially had? Edited April 19, 2007 by extrarice3 Quote Link to comment
