1. Based on the following data on the relationship between job aptitude test (X) and job performance (Y) determine whether job aptitude test is a good predictor of performance or not at a level of significance of .05. Also Indicate how much of the variation in job performance is due to job aptitude; the regression equation; the intercept of the line; the slope of the line. What is the predicted result on the job performance test if the job aptitude of an individual is 70?

A researcher wanted to know whether students recall more text information if they paraphrase what they read or if they just read the information again. 20 randomly selected students participated in the study. A factory produces two types of fertilizer: X1 and X2. The profits realized from a kilo of each of the two types are P35 and P25 respectively. The raw materials from which the fertilizers are made are nitrogen, sulfur and potassium which are used in the following quantities:

 

nitrogen sulfur potassium

X1 3 kilos 3 kilos 8 kilos

X2 3 kilos 2 kilos 1 kilo

 

The available stocks include 1500 kilos of nitrogen, 1200 kilos of potassium and 1200 kilos of sulfur. The objective is to maximize the profit. Find the amount of X1 and X2 to be manufactured.

IN Math:

 

 

positive + positive = positive

 

positive + negative = negative

 

negative + negative = negative

 

positive - negative = negative/positive (defend on your subtrahead)

 

positive - positive = positive/negative (defend on your subtrahead)

 

negative - negative = negative

 

positive x negative = negative

 

positive x positive = positive

 

negative x negative = positive

 

positive ÷ positive = positive

 

positive ÷ negative = negative

 

negative ÷ negative = positive

 

 

 

 

 

In True Life:

 

positive attitude + positive attitude = confortable

 

negative attitude + negative attitude = confortable

 

negative attitude + positive attitude = not confortable 2 each other

 

 

 

 

 

Conclusion:

therefore the life of the poeple is same in math formula !! :wub:

I'll share my experience about Math and numbers...

When i was still in college and reviewing for the ECE Board Exam, I had trouble in Math Formulas especially this formulas will be your basic weapon in ECE Board Exam coz 2 out of 3 exams of ECE is based on Math (Electronics, Communication and Mathematics).

 

Apply the formula to the most possible thing that you do everyday -> you know what? -> katarantaduhan

 

Natawa ako nung tinuruan kami ng prof namin kung pano pagsamahin ung katarantaduhan sa pag memorize ng formula......

 

Sabi nung prof ko when you learn it, you dont need to memorize it kasi you never memorize ung mga katarantaduhan mu e...

 

So if you wanna memorize something, Let's say a very long formula.... try to look for hints and things that you will remember mostly and include it in your memory.... to those who watch Prison Break, Scaufield did memorize through the use of something ( I wont tell what it is )

 

Finally, ung mga katarantaduhan mu magagamit muna sa magandang paraan!!!!!!

my niece is a freshman high school student, and his teacher tells him that a fraction may not have a negative number for its denominator [eg, in 1/(-4), the negative sign should be moved up to align with the fraction bar or with the numerator 1].

 

for some reason, none in his class had the guts to ask the teacher "WHY?" and everyone just accepted it as dogmatic fact, and along with it accepted the fate of their widely similar answers, which were all marked wrong coz they didn't move up the negative sign.

 

i always thought there was an underlying reason (or proof) for everything in math. can anybody shed light on this?
