warhammer
We now have more than a handful of grocery/hypermart chains opening here in the Philippines. Before, we only got SM & Uniwide (I think) for hypermarts and SM (again), Robinsons, Ever, Isetann, Rustans for the supermarkets. Now, we have Shopwise (Rustans), Big R (Robinsons), PriceSmart, Pure Gold, Makro, etc. joining the fray. Now, my question is, where do you go for your groceries? Why do you choose that outlet? What do they offer their customers? - Among other things. You can also name outlets to avoid here - of course you have to give a fitting justification why you do not recommend that certain outlet. So, that's it. Hope you fine ladies and gentlemen would find time to answer this. Quote Link to comment
warhammer
I do my grocery shopping at Shopwise Makati (P. Tamo) because it is the closest to my residence than any other supermart/hypermart. Added bonus is the Wise Club membership where you could earn points for every purchase. These points can then be redeemed later via gift certificates. Quote Link to comment
Wyld
When i was still living in Manila - id grocery shop at Rustans Makati because of their frequent shoppers e purse promo where you gain e-pesos that you can spend on grocery items each time you shop. For bulk shopping, i would go to PriceSmart because it was very near my house and offers quite an interesting variety of items. Here in Tx, i shop at a variety of stores for different things. Regular groceries i buy either at Kroger or Randall's, fresh produce, meat and fish i get at the numerous oriental groceries here. Bulk shopping we do at Sam's Club. Quote Link to comment

Google
every weekend at Makati Supermarket Alabang. prices are one of the cheapest sa las pinas - muntinlupa areas. items are neatly arranged. place is clean, with nice comfort rooms too. medyo hassle nga lang parking specially in the afternoons. ladydredd
i go to Shopwise Pasong Tamo for everything (grocery, meat and veggies). their mini-ensaymada is sooo to-die-for!!! lots of cheese and butter/cream, for 33 pesos for a box of 6 pieces, sobrang cheap!!! yun nga lang, they only make these twice a day, and madaling maubos sa sobrang dami ng nag-aabang na bumili. you have to place your orders at least a day before para makabili ka... minsan, i go to Landmark, for additional items. lapit kse sa ofc. Cash and Carry naman for PX goods... Quote Link to comment
mikes_apt
for me, unimart is still the best. the prices are reasonable and they have great variety especially with imported items. Quote Link to comment
