What's Your Current Pc System ?

Recommended Posts

Dude you're holding your computer back with that vid card of yours! Is that a laptop? Anyway, personally I'm waiting 'til PCI Express becomes prevalent before I upgrade to an Athlon64. I'm also waiting for the new chipset to come out. As for linux drivers, since it's open source, perhaps you can write your own?

yes, it is a laptop.... but considering how much I paid for it, I think i got a good deal. as far as writing drivers, I guess i'll just wait for the linux guru's to do it...

I don't really have time to study the codes......

The release of DOOM 3 will determine if our PCs are ready to handle its graphic intensive gameplay.

The question is : "Will my PC be able to handle DOOM 3's task ?

For the last four-odd years, id Software has been in bunker mode. With the now-infamous phrase, "It will be ready when it's done," the staff of the studio that John Carmack built deflected all questions about the development of its groundbreaking PC shooter, Doom 3.

However, now that Doom 3 has gone gold, the wizards of id are hitting the publicity circuit, suddenly eager to chat about the title that will force thousands of gamers to shell out millions of dollars to buy PCs powerful enough to play it.

for you people waiting for doom3 better stick with your geforce cards. id software just came out with some benchmark testing for nvidia and ati cards. nvidia was found to have better framerate than ati. better stick with your nvidia if you want to play doom3. here's the article from [H]ard|OCP.
