RiverJordan
Have done little in terms of upgrade to the current system but as it stands here are the specs: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bitC2Q Intel Q6600EVGA N680i2 x 1.5TB Samsung in RAID0Corsair 4 x 2GB PC2-6400MSI N465GTXCorsair TX850Coolermaster Stacker 83027" Dell 2407 LCDLogitech MX1100 Combo ========= Currently sitting on an online cart, twiddling my thumbs whether to buy or not: CPU/Processor AMD AM3 Phenom II x6 1090T Black Edition (Turbo Core 3.2GHz/9MB/125W) 2.5" Sata II 120GB OCZ Vertex 2 SSDAMD AM3 Gigabyte GA-890FXA-UD5 (rev. 2.1) 2 x 8GB Kit (2x4096MB) PC10666 1333MHz Patriot PGV38G1333ELK 9-9-9-24 2 x 2TB Samsung HD204UI I'm planning to keep the GTX465 and PSU, I don't game as much as I used to so there was no point upgrading the card as I'm going to use the rig mainly for post processing and a VMWare lab environment. RiverJordan
@riverjordan Ang lufet setup ng wish list mo, if you're not in a hurry bulldozer is coming soon, also sandybridge. I've decided to hang out for it. to be honest I have been a out of touch with the CPU roadmaps between Intel & AMD. The thought of an 8 core multi-threaded cpu makes me weak at the knees! I didn't buy the CPU, Mobo & RAM but I got the two x 2TB Samsungs and the OCZ Vertex 2 SSD to keep amused until the releases.I know it will be expensive on release so again, I'll have to wait until the hype dies down. I've installed Windows 7 Ultimate 63 bit on the SSD and I have to say, it's one of the better upgrades that I have done. I just hate the fact that it's still so expensive, when it does go down in price and in line with the current breed of HDD. I plan to get two of them and run RAID0. exciting times. PanPizza2
also intel will start shipping same deffective chips again, this is according to intel that the same 6 series chips that was recalled, will be shipped soon because of "market demand" WTF?!? My 2 cents is that they (the mobo maufacturer) will RMA thier mobo as they breakdown, or hopes they will find other way to fix the intel problem. kawawa consumer in the long run. Intel's having problem with the Sandy Bridge Chipset. Compatibility issue against the Mobo's for socket 1155, USB 2.0 not working properly in the long run and some thing regarding the silicon texture. (if am not mistaken). So guys be aware of the Intel's i-series problem and read more about the Sandy Bridge before buying an Intel CPU. Quote Link to comment
