agentjackbauer
to the folks with credit card problems: easy lang kayo. for as long as hindi criminal case ang ifile sa inyo, you should still be thankful. worse case scenario, a judgment in a civil case is rendered against you for the sum of the debt (plus atty's fees etc.). the company will try to execute the writ by getting its hands on whatever property (personal or real) you may have. kung wala kang gamit, eh di wala silang makukuha:-) kumbaga, gustuhin man nila, wala pa rin kung walang mapipiga. yun nga lang, dont ever apply for a credit card again (or bank loan) in the near future. blacklisted ka na for sure. agentjackbauer
how much is a reasonable fee per hearing for a good lawyer (anybody here?..i know it could be very expensive) if i want to claim something from my father who recently died...his mother, my paternal grandmother also recently died after him..my paternal grandfather died many years ago already..my father has 4 siblings living who are already selling the mother's (my paternal grandmother's) properties..i am the only legitimate child of my dad...my mom and dad are already separated for more than 7 years now...my father has 2 illegitimate children .. i hope somebody will help me here ..thanks..<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Per hearing rates vary from lawyer to lawyer. Sympre mas kilala, mas mahal. But I think the average lawyer charges around P2 to 4thouand per hearing. Not so sure about this since I work on a per hour basis. But its not just the per hearing rates you have to worry about. In most cases, a client also has to pay the lawyer an acceptance fee. This depends on a host of factors i.e. complexity of the case, amount of claim invloved etc. Some lawyers also charge for every pleadin they write. Depende talaga, may iba na package na lahat. So go ask around. There are a lot of very good lawyers working for a decent enough price. Suggestion lang: wag mo masyadong tipirin budget mo baka walang kwentang abogado makuha mo. In most cases, in life as in law, you pay for quality:-) Quote Link to comment

dj_flip03
Filipino/OPM revivals just goes to show that we are definitely running outta talented music composers/lyricists. I recall way back when there was an interview with some 80's singer/composer regarding his song getting revived by new artists, he commented saying "wala na ba tayong maisip na bagong mga kanta? Sayang ang OPM. Blah blah blah..." I share his sentiments. Ang mga producers ngayon ay wala nang ibang pakialam kungdi ang gumamit at kumita ng pera. Quote Link to comment

Ok lang mgsama nang isang revival song sa album. Pero for the whole album to be revival songs? I wouldn't support OPM kung ganito lang! It beats the definition of OPM Original Pilipino Music. pizzapandesal
No! for Christ's sake enough song revivals! I'd appreciate it if it's done by a competent artist in a totally different approach in a way that it won't come out hash, but so-called artists nowadays milk the hell out of past songs to launch or revive their careers. Putsa, lalo na yung mga singers or bands who come out with a new album made up of old songs...shame on you guys! You don't deserve to be called artists. Nangyayari tuloy, nabababoy yung mga lumang kanta na sobrang ok noon, such as that Eraserhead song, "Maling Akala." I'd like to whip that band na gumawa ng remake non, sino ba yon, Browman? I'm sorry, kaso i get irritated as hell pag naririnig ko yung boses nung lead nila...parang yung mga tambay lang sa kanto na pinakanta. Kasira ng araw.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> maybe di mo lng alam yung REGGAE kaya di mo maappreciate...and i think na competent ang BROWNMAN REVIVAL as a band, actually madami silang original songs pero di naman sila lng yungnasusunod...kailangan din nilang sundin yung MUSIC LABEL It was SONY BMG's decision to make "MALING AKALA" to be their debut single kung alam mo kalakaran sa music industry ngayonhindi ka basta bibigyan ng FREEDOM to do what you want especiallykung bago ka... kaya nga dumami ang independent released albums...wala lng budget ang BROWNMAN kaya sila nag signed under SONY BMG kung hindi maganda yung version ng BROWNMAN REVIVAL ng MALING AKALAsana hindi sila nagkaroon ng following, actually sikat na nga sila ngayonat sana di sila nanominate sa SOP MUSIC AWARDS at NU 107 ROCK AWARDSand most of the radio stations play their song kse magandaat ginamit rin ng GMA 7 yung "maling akala" sa kanilang palabasna ATTIC CAT I won't argue kung di mo gusto kanta nilakse MUSIC is an opinion not a LAW pero sumagot lng ako kse i thinkyou are not in a position and not competent enough to state that brownman revival was not competentenough to do their own rendition of MALING AKALA ("marami ang namamatay sa maling akala") peace!!! You should go there to see how crowded it is and to see people dance and compresstheir way in, just to dance to their music. Well, siguro madaming tambay lang talaga sa Pinas considering the class of a Heart Evangelistaor a Catherine De Castro going there kahit na mainit sa dami ng tao. para d OT: Revivals are done to bring to life an old song. bilbo_baggins
I guess one of the best ever revived songs is Stand by You version of Patti la Belle. The song is an original of the The Pretenders. Ms. La Belle’s put more soul and zest to the song, can’t help but be in awe… Those of G4 and Ronan Keating?...commercial intent and not on artistic advancement. Il Divo’s Unbreak My Heart is so so. But listening to their music is something I can’t afford to miss. Quote Link to comment
civilcode
please help me with my case, im jobless for almost 6 months now because of my condition (pregnant with history of threatened abortion), i wasnt able to pay my credit cards kasi i dont have enough funds at this time, i offered them kung pwede ako magbayad kahit P500 per month but they are inconsiderate, i dont have any intention na takbuhan sila. i know for a fact that no one can be put in jail because of utang but in my case kasi medyo complicated, on my application to them kasi i changed my age (coz b4 i was only 20 yrs old and their requirement is atleast 21 yrs above), my questions is...can this be considered FRAUDULENT? or can this be a ground for a FRAUDULENT act? i already received demand letters, im so desperate and worried and i dont know what to do now, lalo na malapit na ako manganak...i wanted to pay them but for now talagang im on a tight budget....help me PLEASE....<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Generally in my point of view, age is immaterial in this issue, since you were already above 18 years old, legal age. I would suggest that try to negotiate with banks, not with the agents go directly to the bank. True enought that no criminal case can be file against you based on the given facts, but a civil case can be filed against you, they can ask the court for attachment for your personal or real property. just a piece of advice.......
