Butsoy
Everyone must have heard President Arroyo's latest executive order revoking all permits to carry firearm outside residence (PTCFOR). My PTC was issued last January 14, 2003. A few weeks later, Arroyo revoked it!!! Now, I cannot carry my gun. It's totally unfair!!!!!!! freelicker
question on credit cards...i have a friend who went to the states and left with unpaid credit cards and one of his references is ako. The bank's account mgrs has been calling the office asking for my friend's contact nos and other infos. ano yung pwedeng gawin ng banks if he decided not to pay his dues? Unless you were made a guarrantor of your friend, the bank would not be able to do anything to you. And you have to remember that you can't be made a guarrantor without your consent so its important to remember if you signed anything with the bank when your friend got his card. If you did, then you may have a problem. Otherwise, they can't touch you. Quote Link to comment

daklesse
anybody know how to hack into hotmail accounts and geocities accounts? i lost my passwords for a couple of websites i built and the alternate emails i have :wizard: somehow, there are groups of individuals who are doing their best to change the image and perception about hacking. They hack a system not to harm but to help, and if you are looking for someone to hack your hotmail account, they may believe your good intentions but you cant refrain them from thinking you have a separate agenda. Medyo malabo siguro yan bro, and I think hotmail has the feature to send your password to your alternate email address in case you forgot them. You might want to try that feature. hope that helps Quote Link to comment

saint
Saint, With your outstanding bill with the phone company, there can never be estafa. On the deal with your relative, since you did not inform the phone company that you gave away your sim, as far as they are concerned, you have been using that number. The worst they can do is sue for collection. They might first refer your debt to a collection agency. If still no response, you will receive a demand letter from a law firm representing the collection agency or phone company (which I doubt). As far as the collection case is concerned, your generosity to your relative is not a solid defense. It is like an alibi which is the weakest form of defense. Better shoot that relative of yours in the foot. (Just kidding). On a business note, the phone companies are making so much money now, they might be too busy to sue you. thanks Roubaix. maybe i should just wait if i hear from them again. however, my billing address was at my previous company. year 2000 pa nung umalis ako dun. so unless mag-check ako dun sa old company ko, di ko rin naman matatanggap yung mga notices nila. kasalanan ko ba na lumipat ako ng kumpanya at "nalimutan" ko na yung tungkol dun sa bill ko? saint
IPR questions naman... Company A started in Country 1. Then they established a company here. Same name. So instead of Company A, Country 1 it's Company A, Philippines. A group of developers was employed as regulars. They created a proprietary software for the company. This software was not new in terms of its functionality. But the "process" this software employed was. Much of the concept of the design was done by the developers, although there were inputs from one of the "boss-men". Company A, Philippines filed for bankruptcy. I don't know if Company A, Country 1 did the same or if it just ceased operations. The question is, "Can this group of developers re-create the said software for their own benefit and profit without violating any IPR law?" They will not use the old source code but develop it again from scratch, based on the knowledge they have about it. Quote Link to comment

bmikey69
Hi Guys, i'm trying to use Windows 98 SE Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) on my pc's. But the problem is, I was always getting disconnected from my ISP after 5 to 10 minutes. I followed all the instructions regarding how to install the ICS on the server and workstations. I want to use my webcam for Yahoo Messenger on my workstations and I could not use it if I only use a proxy server i.e. Wingate on my server. I'm not familiar with the ICS and would appreciate very much your help. Many Thanks. Edited February 27, 2003 by bmikey69 Quote Link to comment

They will not use the old source code but develop it again from scratch, based on the knowledge they have about it. Hmmm, IPR? Medyo mahirap to cause it's a special law and there is not much regulation on computer softwares available. What I do know is that for you to violate the Intellectual Property Law, you must have used the same patent or copywrite that is being protected. The first question would thus be; is the program copywrited in the first place (if not then there is no IPR to violate)? Second would the new software being re-created of the same process as the one developed by Company A, Philippines? Because if the new software also uses a different process and design, even if the functionality is the same, the new software could not be considered to be an infringement of the copywrite of the old software. Like all intellectual creations, unless there is a clear cut evidence of copying or immitating the specific item created, there is really very little that can be established to say there was infringement. The other lawyers who specialize in this might correct me as I am just giving a general opinion on the matter. Quote Link to comment
