dungeonbaby
Finished Memories of My Melancholy Whores by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. I thought I would lull myself to sleep with this one, fading into dreams filled with naked bodies, knowing glances, and illicit rooms but this book made me immune to slumber. Still, I would say it's the perfect bedtime read ("perfect" being open to interpretation); the prose is by turns tender with unconsummated desire, and droll with the bare tragedies of old age. bear tragedies?
