kingjamestheman27
Boracay is not a "must visit" destination anymore. As usual, don't underestimate how peenoise can ruin everything once stupidity kicks in. In Boracay's case, a series of small changes over several years and how greed of local leaders and eventually, its own residents turned a great place to unwind, relax, enjoy beach & city vibes in one place into a complete garbage choice to as a vacation destination as it is now. Since 2008, my friends and sometimes my family and I never missed a year to revisit Boracay. Every year, way back then, always leaves us a brand new experience that we always smile about so we always look forward to return to that paradise. Fast forward to 2022 - before you even step on the beach, you are greeted with 3-4 separate windows where you need to pay "fees" that's obviously just another corrupt mandate by idiots in office. Let's ignore that for a moment since it's not a new garbage experience in our lovely garbage country. - trike operators have mutated and somehow managed to obtain the same garbage way of thinking as our trike drivers here in metro manila. Specifically, the morons who represent Pasig & Manila TODAs. These boracay trike drivers doesn't even hesitate and show reluctancy when they overcharge people like we're some kind of blind idiots who they can easily pushover to "payup" whatever price they pull out from their idiotic brains. I am usually generous, mind you, but I will NEVER not call out any moron who tries to take advantage of my money, haha. I'll murder their entire family before I allow that. Anyway, the usual price I have been paying when I ride a trike, it was always 50php minimum even if the distance travelled is LITERALLY less than 1km and can even be seen from where you left off. We do this when we want to avoid walking or just lazy and want to get back to our hotel faster. YET these morons are charging 100-180php depending on the driver lmao. They don't have a fixed price and even if they had one, one idiot even said minimum has now changed to 100. Like, are you fucking kidding me? I think those island idiots think that just because we're not from there, we don't understand how basic public transportion works at all. To end this part, I wasted my time 3 times and was forced to visit the local barangay because I nearly knocked out the 3rd driver I fought with that tried this scam. 1st and second were all verbal encounters but all three, ended up in barangay. Where I always get the upper hand and justified my actions. Enough of this garbage trikes in bora - next is the "water/land activities", specifically the atv rides. Those sons of bitches never mentioned that atvs aren't allowed in the main roads anymore after one of us have asked several times before we paid. Fast forward, after we paid, they said we can only ride on the dirt road they made at the back of their store that looks like a rushed and incomplete road under maintenance. When we wanted to cancel after learning this, The idiots got mad angry. As in tilted like someone killed a loved one in front of them, lol. This happened early on after we just arrived so we've yet to realize what hot garbage bora turned into so we shrugged it off and just did that shitty activity since we already paid. Won't go into details on the rest of the stupid garbage we experienced but every one of those were caused by the locals living & working there. Not everything was shit but it was enough to completely draw a new picture on how we saw boracay from that point. I for one have not returned ever since and would never even think about going back there in the next 10 years or indefinitely. Ambience have changed as well but that was already happening at a slow pace, from our experience, since 2017-ish. Lots of things are banned now turning the front beach at night a borefest. Back then, you can see all the different things happening at a distance. Now? Meh. Just more jejemons able to save money and managed to afford boracay haha. Though there are lots of cheap rooms nowadays too. So it attracts the peenoise that people who likes to travel stay away from in the first place😂 End rant. Saw this thread and wanted to share my hatred towards boracay and its people yet again. Which I would probably do whenever I'm given the opportunity. That's how I hate that place now. Hope it burns to the ground tbh. So every local there would starve. They don't deserve the perks they're getting from living in a tourist spot. Tsunami, please, destroy that place and kill as much as u can. Tyia Quote Link to comment
