take things as they come....not too much, and too many, expectations...simply because bad things can happen, and could go awry, even to the best of the best....and when they do, even the best laid plans lose their worth....

That wounds would eventually heal.

 

In some instances, you just have to do aggressive debridement, remove all necrotic tissue to improve the healing potential of the remaining healthy tissues. It may hurt like hell, especially without any anesthetic.

 

Sometimes you just have to do it, otherwise you'll end up with an amputated limb or worse, develop sepsis.

Either way, I don't intend to lose any of my extremities or die from an infection that could be prevented.
